Taken at face value, U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s condemnation of the United States in a speech last week before Al Sharpton’s National Action Network was one of the most bizarre statements made by a diplomat—from the U.S. or, indeed, from anywhere—in recent years. In her remarks, Thomas-Greenfield castigated the U.S. as inherently, irredeemably evil. “I have seen for myself how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles,” America’s woman at the United Nations said. While bizarre to the uninformed, it turns out Thomas-Greenfield’s remarks were simply her stump speech. She...

India marked a grim milestone Wednesday with 200,000 people lost to COVID-19 — as a relentless surge of new cases overwhelms hospitals, sends families searching for oxygen supplies, and has seen parking lots in the capital, New Delhi, converted into crematoriums. The health ministry reported a single-day record of 3,293 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the world’s second-most populous country’s total fatalities to 201,187.

FOURTH WEEK OF EASTER JOHN 12:44–50 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus makes it clear once again that he and the Father are one. God is not a force or an energy or a spiritual presence occupying the deep background of your life; he’s not something that you can tap into when you feel like it. Nor is God a distant supreme being who organized the universe long ago and now leaves it to its own devices. Rather, God is the Lord. He is the commander, the ruler, the governor, the one who makes a demand and who then involves himself...

A bill in the Nevada state legislature would strike the term mother and father on birth certificates and authorize an unlimited number of adults to be listed. “We need to contact the Senate Judiciary Members and urge them to oppose AB 115,” the Nevada Family Alliance, a program of Capitol Resource Institute,” said in a statement. “The passing of this bill could bring complicated and dangerous implications for parents across Nevada.” The bill was heard this week in the Senate Judiciary Committee. It already passed in the Assembly, where it was sponsored by Assemblywoman Cecelia González (see image), a Democrat....

Prosecutors obtained the warrant as part of an investigation into whether Mr. Giuliani broke lobbying laws as President Trump’s personal lawyer. Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant on Wednesday at the Upper East Side apartment of Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who became President Donald J. Trump’s personal lawyer, stepping up a criminal investigation into Mr. Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine, three people with knowledge of the matter said. One of the people said the investigators had seized Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices. Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against...

HONG KONG, April 28 – Hong Kong’s legislature passed on Wednesday a controversial immigration bill, which lawyers, diplomats and right groups fear will give authorities unlimited powers to prevent residents and others from entering or leaving the Chinese-ruled city. The government has dismissed those fears as “complete nonsense,” saying the legislation, which will come into effect on Aug. 1, merely aims to screen illegal immigrants at source amid a backlog of asylum applications and does not affect constitutional rights of free movement.

One of the people said the investigators had seized Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices. Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against a lawyer, let alone a lawyer for a former president, and it marks a major turning point in the long-running investigation...

For Islam to be true, God would have to be mutable minutes Choose one or the other: this or...Could those who blindly follow Muhammad as their heaven-sent prophet and leader and adhere to Islam as the one divinely revealed religion and the only true way to salvation possibly be deceived by Satan? The answer is yes. (Listen up, Francis.) City Journal published an article by Theodore Dalrymple (pen name of Dr Anthony Daniels) titled When Islam Breaks Down. Dalrymple said, “No Muslim in an Islamic society would dare to suggest that the Quran was not divinely dictated through the mouth...

ATLANTA, GA—CDC officials have released official guidelines and recommendations for activity during the pandemic. At the top of the list is a request for people to stop giving them wedgies every time they pass them on the street. "You all need to stop this immature behavior right now!" said CDC official Mortimer Herbie Jr. as he adjusted his glasses and retainer. "Also, stop shoving us in lockers and giving us swirlies and grabbing us by our ankles and shaking us upside down until our lunch money falls out! This is NOT cool you guys!"

A new study from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has identified a gene – called SVEP1 – that makes a protein that influences the risk of coronary artery disease independent of cholesterol. SVEP1 induces proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells in the development of atherosclerosis. Shown is a stained section of atherosclerotic plaque from a mouse aorta, the largest artery in the body. Vascular smooth muscle cells are red; proliferating cells are cyan; nuclei of any cell are blue. Under Joe Biden’s current leadership, it’s becoming apparent how the administration is failing to deliver what they promised, namely a so-called “better America” than that of President Trump. A recent Yahoo News report found 10 areas where the Biden administration has done far more harm than good. The report explained how the United States Postal Service’s (USPS) law enforcement arm known as the Internet Covert Program (ICOP) proves Biden’s America is invading the rights of citizens nationwide. The surveillance effort involves analysts combing through social media sites looking for posts deemed as threatening, which are then sent to other government...

The scientists I talked to don’t want to be quoted by name for fear of repercussions in today’s politically-charged environment. They're highly critical that a U.S. research collaboration was allowed with China— a communist nation that has an active bioweapons program and, is arguably, our biggest world competitor and foe. Scientists from the U.S. and the Wuhan lab joined up on experiments that involved making bat coronavirus more infectious, to try to invent a vaccine. It’s called “gain of function” research, and it’s controversial because it could create a lethal virus that escapes and causes a pandemic. So risky, the...

resident Biden is returning to the Barack Obama playbook of “reforming” municipal police departments by forcing multi-year federal court “consent decrees” down their throats -- a strategy that makes it extremely difficult for those departments to hire and retain good officers, or to administer their agencies in accord with the needs of the communities they serve. Of course, as with everything being undertaken by this Administration, it is all about race and politics, not good policing. Police departments in Minneapolis and Louisville are but the latest recipients of this federal intervention. It is noteworthy, though not often noted, that both...

HARRISBURG — A group of Pennsylvania Democrats is asking a state court to make preparations to take over congressional map-making duties, betting the divided government in Harrisburg won’t come to an agreement in time for the 2022 elections. The lawsuit, filed Monday by 16 Democratic voters represented by an arm of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, asks the Commonwealth Court to prevent the state’s current congressional map from being used in the 2022 elections and to put in place a schedule the judges must follow if they have to step in. The legal challenge comes just one day after the...

(This is an important article) Journalist Lee Smith hits the sweet spot in his discussion of the U.S. Postal Service conducting surveillance on Americans. As Smith notes the targeting is not to identify the political ideology of “all Americans”, rather the objective is surveillance of people who likely did not vote for Joe Biden. Again it is important to repeat, this type of activity is one long continuum. The IRS was previously used; federal contractors for the FBI have previously been used; allied Big Tech companies have been used; and now the United States Postal Service is running a covert...

Editor's Note: This piece was co-authored by Congresswoman Lisa McClain.David Frum’s article entitled “The Worst Outcome” for The Atlantic (March 11, 2020 article) stated “if somebody other than Donald Trump were in the White House, the Coronavirus Crisis would not be unfolding this way … Trump’s actions have ensured the worst possible outcomes. The worst possible outcome for public health, the worst possible outcome for the American economy, the worst possible outcome for American global leadership.” The media in general, and the Democratic Party highly supported Frum’s view giving it inertia throughout 2020 while creating a view of gross incompetence...

Cuomo had already extended the food and beverage service curfew by an hour, to midnight. That will be lifted entirely for outdoor dining areas beginning May 17 and for indoor dining areas beginning May 31.

You can’t make this stuff up. Don’t you always wonder how these judges get picked for cases around the country? For example, how was it that an Obama Judge was picked to review Trump Election cases in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Michigan? Note there were enough electoral college votes in these three states to give President Trump his election win.
