An old expression notes that when you point one finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you. This aphorism may have originated in the Bible when Jesus said, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Modern Democrats and the left embody this sentiment, quick to blame anyone and anything for problems that they largely created. They offer no thoughtful consideration of their own roles in starting the never-ending dumpster fires that they blame on their political enemies. The psychologists call...

Many in the media are increasingly referring to abortion pills as “medication” – but their terminology couldn’t be further from the truth. That’s because the purpose of medicine is to save lives. The purpose of abortion is to end them. The most recent example came when the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that women may temporarily receive the drug mifepristone – the first of two pills in a chemical abortion – by mail. The news comes months after the Supreme Court granted the FDA’s previous request to reinstate a federal requirement that says women must obtain it from a health...

Race has always been used by the left and the Democrats to divide us. As we’ve seen all too clearly in recent weeks, this strategy has now achieved critical mass – and it’s moved into health care, the largest sector of the economy and one with critical influence on people’s lives -- and even survival. I’ve been reporting on American medical care since the 1970s. It’s an area rife with politics but I never thought that I’d live to see anything like this. In early April, I became aware of a shocking new example of overt racism that proposes to...

A couple of weeks ago, I had an hour-long interview with a reporter from The American Prospect about PragerU’s program for families, PragerU Resources for Educators and Parents (PREP). Our discussion was genuinely enjoyable, despite our differing opinions about our nation and world. The reporter brought up issues, I offered my take and corrected some projected narratives, and she respectfully and kindly responded with more questions. When I hung up the phone, I thought, “This is how folks on opposite sides should talk about issues together.” I even sent her a thank you note saying how much I enjoyed our conversation...

Tyler Perry, the director who won the humanitarian honor at the Academy Awards, spoke of unity during his acceptance speech Sunday and said his mother taught him as a boy to refuse hate and refuse to succumb to "blanket judgments." "And in this time, with all of the internet and social media and algorithms and everything that wants us to think a certain way, the 24-hour new cycle…it is my hope that all of us would teach our kids, and I want to remember: just refuse hate. Don’t hate anybody." His message comes at a trying time in the country....

Making Academy Awards history in the most awkward way imaginable, Anthony Hopkins won the Oscar for best actor for his performance in “The Father,” becoming the oldest winner ever. Hopkins, however, was not on hand to accept the award, which for the first time in Oscars history was placed at the very end of the telecast, after “Nomadland” had won best picture and Frances McDormand took home best actress. Presenter Joaquin Phoenix instead had to accept the award on Hopkins’ behalf, providing an altogether abrupt and anti-climatic conclusion to the most unusual Academy Awards ceremony in modern history. It is...

The reactions to last week, titled with the question “Is It Time for Conservatives to Support A National Popular Vote?”, was basically a resounding, “HELL NO! It is NOT time for conservatives to support a national popular vote, there will NEVER BE a time for conservatives to support a national popular vote, and you are an IDIOT for even bringing it up! Now, go back to the Democrat-infested hellhole you crawled out of!” Or something along those lines. To be fair, it wasn’t unexpected, and I completely understand. When I first encountered a case for the issue coming from a conservative...

According to an old superstition, it’s good luck to find a penny on the sidewalk. But whether or not you believe picking up that penny will bring you luck, one thing it definitely won’t bring you is wealth. Pennies are worth so little now that by taking five seconds to pick one up, you’re earning just $7.20 an hour — less than the federal minimum wage. Pennies are so close to worthless that many people argue it’s time to do away with them altogether. A nonpartisan organization called Citizens to Retire the U.S. Penny has attracted the support of economists...

It’s just the flu, bro. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3953817/posts I don’t think this article is telling the whole story but it claims a woman was fired for not taking the Coronavirus vaccine. It is a private business so this doesn’t bother me as much as if it was a government entity. Regardless, there should always be pushback against any employer who does this. - https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3953785/posts Vaccinated Americans can vacation in the EU. The first Freeper comment on this article was that unvaccinated people are becoming second class citizens. You can’t win, but that’s all part of the plan. Reason, rules, processes – these are the foundations of a free society, which is why the cultural left is so dead set against them. A citizen needs to be able to rely on clear rules and fixed processes to vindicate his rights in order to have any rights. But the rights of free citizens – your rights – are an obstacle to the Lil’ Stalins who yearn to rule over us. If the liberal establishment can create a society where you can’t appeal to facts, evidence, or law, then –...

Former President Trump is ditching his Palm Beach club Mar-a-Lago for the summer, hoping to escape the stifling Floridan summer for the cooler climes of his Garden State golf club. Mar-a-Lago closes just after Memorial Day when most Palm Beach residents leave the muggy weather for the Hamptons or Europe, but the weather isn’t the only reason Trump wants to head north for a few months, according to Insider. “They’re moving the whole operation to New Jersey because they’re going to start doing more fundraising,” one Trump advisor told the site. Trump said this week he is “beyond seriously” considering...

Authorities in Virginia have released disturbing body camera video of a deputy shooting a Black man who was holding a cordless phone and who had just received a ride home by the same law enforcement officer. Isaiah Brown, 32, survived more than six rounds fired at him Wednesday and was in a hospital "fighting for his life," said a spokesman....

...“Both research literature and government reports state clearly that heat waves in the US are now no more common than they were in 1900, and that the warmest temperatures in the US have not risen in the past fifty years,” Steven Koonin, the undersecretary for science at the Department of Energy in the Obama administration, wrote in an op-ed on Saturday... ...He said it started in 2013, when he was asked by the American Physical Society to update the organization’s public stance on the changing climate. Over the next year, Koonin said he initiated a workshop to act as a...

...Even if Camping is right, Fuller Theological Seminar President Richard Mouw clarifies that May 21 is Rapture Day — the day Christians, dead and alive will meet Jesus in the sky. According to Camping, the world won’t end until Oct. 21, 2011. Rabbi David Wolpe said we believe Camping because we like endings: The critic Frank Kermode pointed out that we assume clocks go “tick-tock” but they do not. They go “tick-tick” but we supply the “tock” in our minds because we feel the need to have an ending. Every song, every story, every life, has an ending — so...

Nearly half of all Republicans questioned in a new poll said that they believe former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was wrongly convicted of murdering George Floyd. A total of 46 percent of respondents to the CBS News-YouGov poll who identified as Republican said the Hennepin County jury reached the "wrong verdict." Only 10 percent of Democrats said the same thing. Among all respondents, 75 percent said the jury reached the right verdict, while 25 percent said it did not. The 25 percent of Americans who said they believe the jury reached the wrong verdict also said they strongly disagree...

INDIA has vowed to "hang" anyone who delays the delivery of oxygen supplies as the country buckles under a devastating second wave of coronavirus. A high court in New Delhi today warned it would use the death penalty after brazen local officials intercepted and diverted oxygen tanks to desperate hospitals in their areas. Tanks of oxygen are being shuttled across the country to hotspots to keep up with the demand - but local officials in several states have disrupted movement of tankers and diverted supplies to their areas. A tanker-truck carrying oxygen supplies in Delhi’s neighboring state of Haryana went...

Since the start of the pandemic, Kit Breshears has been terrified of catching the coronavirus. Getting vaccinated did not magically change that. For the past 13 months, Breshears, 44, of Buffalo, Minnesota, has not stepped foot inside a store or restaurant, not even to pick up a takeout meal. Any visits with family and friends have been over Zoom. When he received his second Covid-19 shot earlier this month, he felt relief, he said — but with the pandemic still ongoing, he has found it impossible to turn off his anxiety.
