A happily-married, financially-stable mom is justified in ending the life of her unborn baby, according to one advice columnist.Danny M. Lavery runs Slate's advice column, “Dear Prudence,” which answers readers’ questions “about relationships at home, work, and beyond.” This includes relationships in relation to abortion, as Lavery recently responded to the question “Should I Abort My Pregnancy and Tell My Husband I Miscarried?” in his column published on March 13. His answer, quickly summarized, seemed to be, “Yes, yes, you may.”To Lavery, the question wasn’t whether or not she should abort her “pregnancy.” His answer largely assumed she should –...

Hours after The Washington Post made a correction to its story that it had “misquoted” former President Donald Trump, the former President issued a blistering statement. The bad reporting from WaPo claimed Trump told Georgia’s top elections investigator “to find the fraud,” in December. The Post says this quote was false and they lay blame on an unidentified source. “Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the...

If you asked me my favorite food...I'd probably just say "sauce." Sure, it's kind of a bogus answer, but sauce is truly the main event of every good meal. What are fries without ketchup? Pasta without Alfredo? Wings without buffalo? They're nothing worthwhile if you ask me! Heinz seems to agree, because the brand has come out with so many unlikely sauce pairings in the past and their lineup will now include crazy innovations like Wasabioli and Hanch. You've already heard of their Mayochup and Mayoracha that blend mayo with ketchup and sriracha respectively, but these combos are way less...

A hearing of the House Subcommittee focused on anti-trust and monopoly abuses examines the role of the corporate media in these growing pathologies. There are not many Congressional committees regularly engaged in substantive and serious work — most are performative — but the House Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial, and Administrative Law is an exception. Led by its chairman Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) and ranking member Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), it is, with a few exceptions, composed of lawmakers whose knowledge of tech monopolies and anti-trust law is impressive. In October, the Committee, after a sixteen-month investigation, produced one of...

Even far left outlets are demanding to know why on earth the Biden administration is fuelling a humanitarian disaster at the border... ---------------------------------------------------------- In a desperate attempt to avoid questioning about the worsening humanitarian crisis at the Southern border, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed that it is President Trump’s fault that thousands of children are sleeping on concrete floored cages without seeing the Sun for days. As previously reported by CBS News, just under one month ago there were only NINE children being held in Border Patrol facilities, yet now there are over 4000. JUST IN: U.S. Border...

WASHINGTON, Friday, March 15. THE PRESIDENT'S HEALTH. There is a good deal of anxiety in Republican circles concerning the President's health, and the effect upon it of his manner of doing business. He has no system or method whatever, but allows his time and strength to be exhausted in listening to office-seekers, and doing other drudgery, which belongs to the Departments. Until Wednesday morning he had not even taken a ride for recreation. From 6 o'clock in the morning until long after midnight, he permits himself to be made the passive victim of the thousands who would readily sacrifice his...

It is more clear than ever that the Cuomo administration has been conducting a concerted, months-long disinformation campaign against the people of New York.If only Governor Cuomo cared as much about the truth and New York’s most vulnerable populations as it appears he cares about his book deal. For most of the past year, officials at the highest levels of state government have repeatedly and knowingly understated the death toll in nursing homes, made false assertions about how New York's situation compared to those of other states, and distorted the facts surrounding a policy that sent thousands of COVID-positive patients into...

In 1978, when I was 17 years old, I worked as an usher at concerts and sporting events earning $2.25 an hour, the minimum wage. I had to surrender about 15 cents of this meager hourly wage to a union I was forced to join. I could never understand what a union was doing to help me since the company had the legal requirement to pay me $2.25. I was infuriated over the principle of this confiscation by labor bosses I had never met. I wanted out of the union, but they told me I must pay dues to keep...

Pray For the Peace of JerusalemLambs, Sheep, and Shepherds Psalm 4Psalm 4[a] For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David. 1 Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. 2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c] 3 Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. 4 Tremble and[d] do not sin; when you are...

Current Mood: Dark, very, very dark. You might even say ‘fowl’I’m sure I’ll snap out of it later, as I generally do. But it is more difficult when all the facts tend to bear out your inner dread. Specifically, these two stories; the first was posted by Sarah Hoyt: Were the lockdowns the worst public health decision in 100 years?Which she posted with a question “Only 100 years?” and a comment - “But hey, it worked. They got to steal the election and take over our government” - followed by another question:“How long will you tolerate this?”The reality is we most...

Sean Acierno, 29, was walking through the parking lot of the bar when he was shot. He died as a result of his injuries, police said. Timoteo “Tim” Cruz, 27,...

March 16 2021 Saints Peter and Paul church, Muscat, Oman Lectionary 245First readingEzekiel 47:1-9,12 ©Wherever the water flows, it will bring life and healthThe angel brought me to the entrance of the Temple, where a stream came out from under the Temple threshold and flowed eastwards, since the Temple faced east. The water flowed from under the right side of the Temple, south of the altar. He took me out by the north gate and led me right round outside as far as the outer east gate where the water flowed out on the right-hand side. The man went to...

Have we turned into a surveillance society of the type that used to be common in the Soviet bloc? Both sides of my wife’s family were broken up during and right after World War II. As a result, she has family in both Poland and Croatia and has kept in close touch with both. We’ve sent our teenage sons to the month-long Polish Scout Camp where they teach the kids fieldcraft and basic survival skills. It isn’t basic training, but the kids build their own camps, prepare their own food, and get ready for another Russian or German invasion. My...

The purposeful dissemination of rancid fake news that ran the epidemic during the Trump Administration as the Democrat activists posing as “journalists” coordinated efforts with the Democrat Party’s never-ending coup d’état efforts have only continued to get worse and worse since Trump left office on January 20. Nazi-style propaganda outlets like the WaPo provide numerous examples of rank news-fakery every day of the week at this point in their desperate efforts to provide cover for the nation-killing policies of China Joe Biden.

There are some policies so clearly in the national interest that they have survived the hyperpartisanship of the presidential transition from Donald Trump to Joe Biden. An example was provided at the March 10 meeting of the World Trade Organization’s Council for Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. This may seem like a backwater venue, but the issue in question strikes at the core of present and future technological development. Some 100 “poor” countries led by South Africa are pushing for a waiver of intellectual property (IP) protection for vaccines that combat the COVID-19 pandemic. These countries lack the capability...
