Hours after The Washington Post made a correction to its story that it had “misquoted” former President Donald Trump, the former President issued a blistering statement.
The bad reporting from WaPo claimed Trump told Georgia’s top elections investigator “to find the fraud,” in December. The Post says this quote was false and they lay blame on an unidentified source.
“Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source,” the correction published Thursday began.
“Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.’”
“The headline and text of this story have been corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump.”

TRUMP FIRES BACK:
“The Washington Post just issued a correction as to the contents of the incorrectly reported phone call I had with respect to voter fraud in the Great State of Georgia. While I appreciate the Washington Post’s correction, which immediately makes the Georgia Witch Hunt a non-story, the original story was a Hoax, right from the very beginning. I would further appreciate a strong investigation into Fulton County, Georgia, and the Stacey Abrams political machine which, I believe, would totally change the course of the presidential election in Georgia.
“Fulton County has not been properly audited for vote or signature verification. They only looked at areas of the State where there most likely would be few problems, and even there they found large numbers of mistakes. We are seeking to find and reveal the large-scale election fraud which took place in Georgia. Many residents agree, and their anger caused them not to turn out and vote for two Republican Senators in the January election.
“The Consent Decree signed between Raffensperger and Stacey Abrams was not approved by the Georgia State Legislature, and therefore should be deemed invalid, and the election result changed. Why the Governor and Raffensperger ever approved this Consent Decree is one of the great questions? We look forward to an answer.
“You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans. Meanwhile, stories that hurt Democrats or undermine their narratives are buried, ignored, or delayed until they can do the least harm—for example, after an election is over. Look no further than the negative coverage of the vaccine that preceded the election and the overdue celebration of the vaccine once the election had concluded. A strong democracy requires a fair and honest press. This latest media travesty underscores that legacy media outlets should be regarded as political entities—not journalistic enterprises. In any event, I thank the Washington Post for the correction.”
“...corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump”
—
i.e., fake quotes
i.e., WaPo straight up lied.
IOW, LIES.
quotes misattributed to Trump............... he never said them, so if they are “quotes misattributed to Trump” who did?....................
I would assume every conversation from the president is recorded, or at least transcribed as we saw with the Ukraine fiasco, so why wouldn’t this call have been recorded or transcribed? Why did we have to wait for a FOIA Request to be granted to get the truth, months later and after a lot of damage was fine. IIRC this was the incident that started the new wave of impeachment talk.
Who is the “she” in the article?
The President called Raffensberger, did he not? While Raffensberger may be a gigantor p*ssy, he isn’t a ‘she’. Same can be said for the Governor and Lt Governor, while all 3 have shown themselves to be about as corrupt as any 3 politicians can be.
Coca-Cola, Home Depot come out in opposition to Georgia voting restrictions
It's also important to note that both Home Depot and Coke are in on it. Everyone knows Georgia was stolen and they want to do everything they can to make sure the Dems can steel the next one.
You haver to show your ID to get the vaccine but it's racist to require people to positively identify themselves when they vote.
The recording was found in a computer’s Trash Can. Officials in Georgia originally said there was no recording, so the MSM could make up anything they wanted to, and apparently did.
Mark Levin, last evening on his show, played a montage of MSM idiots reporting the original story, with NBC and MSNBC reporters even saying they had ‘confirmed’ the WaPo story!...................................
An unidentified source = A lying democrat hack.
In other words, they lied their butts off.
All part of their concerted post-election strategy to solidify the steal.
Bttt
After all the trouble and lies I and my neighbors have had from Home Depot in the past couple of years, I’ll be surprised if they don’t go the same way as Sears.
Thanks for the tip. It is time to call Home Depot and explain to them why I will not spend one more penny in their stores, and encourage family and friends to follow suit.
LIARs
I wish someone would ask the Home Depot CEO if he plans on continuing his company’s racist policy of asking customers to show ID when paying by check.
Once America is beyond saving..then the left may ask..what have we done?
I know unlikely.
They will blame everyone else.
extralegal recourse and then an apology in 6 months is the proper course froward
Pravda.
