Movie theaters in Los Angeles could reopen at limited capacity as soon as Saturday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said at a press conference on Wednesday. “Southern California, you will be a beneficiary of this, specifically L.A. will be a big beneficiary of this new metric that likely will be met on Friday,” Newsom said. “Moving through the weekend into next week you will see more activity, more loosening of the tiers.” Once these guidelines for reopening are met, theaters will officially be permitted to open and operate at 25 percent capacity or 100 people, whichever is less, Variety reported....

Observations of galactic rotation curves give one of the strongest lines of evidence pointing towards the existence of dark matter, a non-baryonic form of matter that makes up an estimated 85% of the matter in the observable Universe. Current assessments of galactic rotation curves are based upon a framework of Newtonian accounts of gravity, a new article suggests that if this is substituted with a general relativity-based model, the need to recourse to dark matter is relieved, replaced by the effects of gravitomagnetism.

The $1,400 stimulus included in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID relief package isn’t the only direct payment families could receive. The American Rescue Plan passed by the House includes changes to the child tax credit. The plan includes $3,000 per child ages 6 to 17 and $3,600 per child under age 6. The payments would last for a year, though Democrats are pushing to make them permanent.

Twitter refused to take down widely shared pornographic images and videos of a teenage sex trafficking victim because an investigation “didn’t find a violation” of the company’s “policies,” a scathing lawsuit alleges. The federal suit, filed in January by the victim and his mother in the Northern District of California, alleges Twitter made money off the clips, which showed a 13-year-old engaged in sex acts and are a form of child sexual abuse material, or child porn, the suit states. When the plaintiff, who is a minor referred to only as John Doe, was 13 – 14 years old, he...

I loved the Rush Limbaugh show. I have been listening to it for years and have always been comforted by his ever-increasing audience. It showed that conservative ideas work. The show serves a purpose — a purpose that we need fulfilled more now than ever. Unfortunately, it is not serving that purpose fully now. Rather than building on his legacy, we are wallowing in the sadness of his loss.

I wanted a bit more “oomph” from my 1W 1.2 GHz HT, so I purchased a PC board Yagi to get another 6 dB. I have a Yaesu FT-911 1.2 GHz HT. It is a 1990’s rig gifted me by the wife of a Silent Key at my work. It is a sweet handheld, but with limited power.

A judge says she’s inclined to dismiss on First Amendment grounds part of a revenge porn lawsuit by former Rep. Katie Hill concerning a reporter who co-authored a story featuring nude photos of Hill with a female campaign staff member and one in which Hill holds a bong appearing to contain marijuana. However, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yolanda Orozco said she will instead wait until April 8 to hear a motion filed late Tuesday by Hill’s attorneys to reopen discovery and conduct a short deposition of reporter Jennifer Van Laar to determine the identities of the any parties with...

Christopher Miller, who served as acting secretary of defense under former President Donald Trump, blamed him for the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol in a new interview. “Would anybody have marched on the Capitol, and tried to overrun the Capitol, without the president’s speech?” Miller said during an interview with Vice on Showtime, which will air in full on March 14. “I think it’s pretty much definitive that wouldn’t have happened.” Shortly before Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, the president told the crowd of his “Save America Rally” that the 2020 election was “a criminal enterprise,”...

Sorry, Vanity Fair. We know you want to get eyeballs on your site but publishing a completely fake news headline is not the way to go.Since Vanity Fair is no Babylon Bee it doesn't even have the excuse of pretending to be satire, especially since the article below the headline is dead serious. "LINDSEY GRAHAM: I’M WILLING TO OVERLOOK THE FACT THAT TRUMP HAS PROBABLY BEATEN A FEW HOMELESS PEOPLE TO DEATH."

Five Republicans co-sponsored the bill along with several...

Congressman Massie: Today, I challenged the sponsors of this week’s gun control bills to consider whether it's fair to surround themselves with armed soldiers, Capitol Hill police, personal details, and bodyguards while making it even harder for citizens to exercise their basic right to self-defense. It’s not fair, and it’s not constitutional! Video ...
