I am conservative. I am also an educator. For a while now, I have felt an increasing need to report the sort of things that go on at Public School (and probably at private school although you don't hear about it). I share many concerns with other Freepers about our educational system, and it is these concerns that have made me decide to start publishing the garbage I receive from the left. My goal with this blog is to create a record of the comings and goings of public education for you all. This includes: -emails we receive -educational opportunities...

In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is under renewed scrutiny for his bungled nursing home policy and a subsequent coverup to avoid a Justice Department investigation. Questionable gubernatorial leadership, though, isn’t limited to the Empire State. Just look south to Pennsylvania, where...Tom Wolf, faces bipartisan concerns about his pandemic-era leadership. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Wolf has failed to ensure health and economic security; rejected calls for transparency; refused to work with the legislature; and enacted mandates that harmed working Pennsylvanians.... This dysfunction began last March when the Wolf administration issued a memo requiring nursing homes to accept infected patients... Incredibly,...

Explanation: Yes, but can your tree do this? Pictured is a visual coincidence between the dark branches of a nearby tree and bright glow of a distant aurora. The beauty of the aurora -- combined with how it seemed to mimic a tree right nearby -- mesmerized the photographer to such a degree that he momentarily forgot to take pictures. When viewed at the right angle, it seemed that this tree had aurora for leaves. Fortunately, before the aurora morphed into a different overall shape, he came to his senses and capture the awe-inspiring momentary coincidence. Typically triggered by solar...

Burns, said that if it were up to him, he would close Confucius Institutes in Western universities. * Seventeen schools in the UK are already owned by Chinese companies, and that number is destined to rise. In addition, The Times revealed that the University of Cambridge received a "generous gift" from Tencent Holdings, one of the largest technology companies in...

(...) TUSKEGEE, Ala.—Black residents of this Southern town say the pain and distrust fomented by a decadeslong syphilis study here are inseparable from their personal deliberations over whether to take a Covid-19 vaccine. Beginning in the 1930s, federal officials enrolled hundreds of Black men in Tuskegee in an experiment to examine the effects of untreated syphilis. The men were told they were being treated for “bad blood,” according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In fact, the infected were left to suffer and die from syphilis, decades after treatment existed. (...)

The Chinese communist regime recently put out high-profile propaganda claiming success in “Comprehensive Poverty Alleviation,” resulting in public outcry. Experts and Chinese citizens expressed their skepticism with The Epoch Times. On Feb. 25, the regime held a National Poverty Alleviation Summary and Commendation conference. Xi Jinping, the leader of the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP), claimed at the conference, “Our country has achieved a comprehensive victory in the fight against poverty. Under the current standards, 98.99 million rural poor people have all been lifted out of poverty. All impoverished counties and villages have been lifted out of poverty.” He called...

Iran rejected on Sunday an invitation from global powers who signed the 2015 nuclear deal to discuss the regime’s potential return to the negotiating table, a significant setback in the Biden administration’s efforts to revive the agreement. The Biden administration has previously said that it wants to revive the nuclear deal but won’t suspend sanctions until Tehran comes back into compliance. Tehran has refused to negotiate while U.S. sanctions remain in place. The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), brokered by the Obama administration, lifted sanctions on Iran that had crippled its economy and cut its oil exports roughly...

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has carefully tried to stage-manage the fallout of the Capitol riots. She has proposed a 9/11-style commission, headed by a blatantly partisan general, in order to purportedly get to the bottom of what really happened on January 6th.The decision came on the same day she was served notice by high-ranking Republicans that she herself has many serious questions to answer regarding the Capitol attacks. The questions include what she knew about reports of a planned attack on the Capitol building; why security requests from the former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund was turned down by the House and...

Morgan implied fast food eatery was linked to organized crimeWhile he may take no prisoners in the courtroom, high-profile Orlando attorney and Florida’s so-called “pot daddy” John Morgan is making amends -- with Arby’s. To settle the internet beef between him and the fast food chain, Morgan got decked out in matching meat sweats and filmed an apology video outside his vacation home in Maui. The feud started a few weeks ago when Morgan posted one of his popular #Johnin60secs videos where he regularly muses on topics like getting recognized at the grocery store despite wearing a mask because he...

[Catholic Caucus] Italian Synod: Sin and Vice are the Points of DeparturePerugia Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, the President of the Italian bishops, presented Francis with a proposal for a synod for Italy.Francis received Bassetti with four more Italian bishops on February 27. Bassetti told VaticanNews.va that this synod will “listen to people’s lives in order to draw up proposals.” Were the synod Catholic, it would be the other way around: listening to God’s revelation in order to change peoples' lives. For years, Francis has called on the Italian bishops to start a synod but they dragged their feet. In January he lost...

Kimberly Guilfoyle confused Twitter users on Friday with a prediction about ex-President Donald Trump.“I will confidently say that (former) President Trump from his desk at Mar-a-Lago will accomplish more for America in the next four years than (President) Joe Biden and (Vice President) Kamala Harris could ever dream of,” former Fox News host Guilfoyle, who is the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., told the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida.

“ The Democrats blamed Trump for everything possible with immigration. Now the rumor is that anyone in the USA under Biden will simply be granted citizenship. What is going on now is the problem of unaccompanied children crossing the border has exceeded all-time highs. Border Patrol agents are now reporting a dramatic surge in the numbers of kids younger than 13 arriving each month from Central America. They have warned, according to RELIABLE SOURCES, that they are expecting 13,000 unaccompanied children crossing the border per month. So all the rhetoric against Trump, the Democrats have successfully created a complete crisis...

Democrats want the nuclear launch codes. They’re angry that Joe Biden didn’t ask Kamala Harris for permission to bomb Syria. They pushed the State of the Union address over “security concerns.” It’s happening, folks. The bait-n-switch from President Biden to President Harris is underway, just like so many Trump-supporters warned for months. The groundwork continues to be laid for Harris to supplant Biden as President of the United States. This has been the plan all along, but it seems like they’re accelerating their efforts. The likely reason is the fact that his cognitive skills continue to fade, perhaps more rapidly than...

Donald Trump will stride into Orlando, Florida, today for his first public engagement since Joe Biden’s inauguration, confident that he remains the biggest political superstar on the planet. The Conservative Political Action conference (CPAC) — the most important gathering of Republican Party activists — is home to his most ardent supporters. The mere mention of his name guarantees whoops and cheers. He is certain to receive a rip-roaring ovation. I have news for Trump, though. Republican activists love him, but do not want him to lead them in the 2024 presidential elections. They do not think his son Don Jr...

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Sunday attempted to spin President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion pork-filled coronavirus relief plan, dubbed the American Rescue Plan. Even though more than one-third of the bill will be spent over the next decade, instead of immediately, Psaki said that's necessary for budgetary purposes. "The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that more than one-third of the total bill, $700 billion, would not be spent this year. It would be spent between 2022 and 2031," Fox News host Chris Wallace said. "So how does that qualify as COVID relief?" According to Psaki, the focus of...

North Thurston Public Schools, a school district in Washington, came under fire recently for categorizing Asian students as "white" instead of "students of color" in a performance report. Next Shark reports that the district, which is comprised of 22 schools and about 16,000 students, did this to "boost the growth rate of underperforming groups." In other words, they basically thought that Asian students performed too well to be considered "students of color" because they perceive "students of color" to experience "opportunity gaps." So they decided to strip Asian students of their identities and lump them in with white students.
