North Thurston Public Schools, a school district in Washington, came under fire recently for categorizing Asian students as "white" instead of "students of color" in a performance report. Next Shark reports that the district, which is comprised of 22 schools and about 16,000 students, did this to "boost the growth rate of underperforming groups."
In other words, they basically thought that Asian students performed too well to be considered "students of color" because they perceive "students of color" to experience "opportunity gaps." So they decided to strip Asian students of their identities and lump them in with white students.

The secret to having a non-racist society is to stop bringing race into everything and treating it like a miracle excuse or cure for any given situation.
But I guess they have no interest in any of that.
It’s pretty common for Asians to be treated as “white” or “person of color” depending on what the statistic creator wants to do.
We all must bow down and agree that white is not white!
Along with all the other things that aren’t themselves.
They truly think blacks and Hispanics are morons and Asians screw up the narrative...
2 + 2 = 4 = white student
2 + 2 = 5 = student of color
No money in it !
So are they suggesting skin color determines IQ?

I think they're merely suggesting that white isn't a skin color.
That seems to be the general opinion of Leftists in general. Darker skin=stupider.
And it is common for Hispanics to be counted as white in crime statistics for the same reason.
Europeans who traded in the East all thought of the Chinese and major SEA groups as white. It was not until sometime later that someone who wrote stuff thought he noticed a slightly yellowish cast to a couple of Orientals and proclaimed them the Yellow Race.

Asians are counted as ‘people of color’ when they are attacked on the streets by black ‘white supremacists’ because of Trump’s reference to the Chinese virus.
fedgov does this with crime stats
they categorize latino/hispanics as white when they are attackers/criminals to inflate white attacker numbers
but they keep them separate from whites when they generate victim numbers, to keep white victim numbers down
Now, when you talk about Asian culture, they refer to a "B" grade on a test as an "Asian F". Which says something about their expectation on the student's performance.
I've been blessed knowing some African-Americans over the years who were blessed with "the Knack". Worked for one who had a perfect handle on how to manage people of all races, colors, genders, and associates. Then there were the ones at Chicago's Grand Central Station who would "panhandle".
All should indeed be “lumped” together.
