The Biden administration – and Biden’s nominees – are engaging in a new trend: talking about faith and religion when asked about abortion.resident Biden’s nominee for secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, recently testified during a Senate confirmation hearing. When one senator asked him about abortion restrictions on February 24, Becerra avoided listing any limits that he might support – a position at odds with most Americans. Instead, he brought up his mother’s daily rosary. In other words, Becerra pointed to his family’s Catholic faith while failing to support restrictions on abortion – an issue...

The desperate, frivolous plight of progressives doing all they can to associate conservatives with one of the evilest factions in history. Will progressives ever stop comparing conservatives to Nazis? That’s a question I’ve been asking myself for some time and I wouldn’t be surprised if other conservatives have wondered the same thing. In a sense, progressives and the liberal media seem hopelessly desperate to form some sort of pseudo-link between the Nazis and modern American conservatives. Indeed, it’s been a fruitless, pointless goal of theirs for many years, much to no avail. To give a relevant example, in a recent...

The “Trump-made-me-do-it” defense is already looking like a longshot. Facing damning evidence in the deadly Capitol siege last month — including social media posts flaunting their actions — rioters are arguing in court they were following then-President Donald Trump’s instructions on Jan. 6. But the legal strategy has already been shot down by at least one judge and experts believe the argument is not likely to get anyone off the hook. Trump was acquitted of inciting the insurrection during his second impeachment trial, where Democrats made some of the same arguments defense attorneys are making in criminal court. Some Republican...

WASHINGTON - Just five weeks ago, Los Angeles County was conducting more than 350,000 weekly coronavirus tests, including at a massive drive-thru site at Dodger Stadium, as health workers raced to contain the worst COVID-19 hotspot in the U.S. Now, county officials say testing has nearly collapsed. More than 180 government-supported sites are operating at only a third of their capacity. “It’s shocking how quickly we’ve gone from moving at 100 miles an hour to about 25,” said Dr. Clemens Hong, who leads the county’s testing operation. After a year of struggling to boost testing, communities across the country are...

Listening to Bloomberg’s Tim O’Brien, you’d think that Trump is another Al Capone, heading for a few years in Alcatraz. Last week, the Supreme Court greenlighted the Manhattan District Attorney’s fishing expedition into Donald Trump’s tax returns for the past eight years. Trump, therefore, turned over a million pages of financial to the D.A. That’s good enough for the Trump Derangement Syndrome suffers to breathe new life into their Russia conspiracy theory. Since 2019, when Robert Mueller admitted that Trump had not colluded with the Russians, Cyrus Vance, Jr., the Manhattan District Attorney has been trying to get Trump’s tax...

If you wanted to tear apart a country, really have the people hate each other, the playbook Democrats are following would be the way to do it. Take something irrelevant, but over which people can do nothing, and build it up into everything. Convince people others are out to get them, thereby absolving them of any responsibility for problems in their life, and they will eventually give up. Convince others they are perpetrators of something horrible, which only works with those out of real problems, and you have the makings of Nazi-esque powers of manipulation. This is what Democrats are...

The Bachelor has found its new host. Earlier this month, Chris Harrison announced he was "stepping aside" from the ABC franchise after he received backlash for defending the controversy surrounding contestant Rachael Kirkconnell during an Extra interview with Rachel Lindsay. Following the longtime host's departure, many have wondered who would take his place, especially since Matt James' season of The Bachelor is currently airing. Well, Bachelor Nation fans no longer have to guess. On Saturday, Feb. 27, Emmanuel Acho announced he will be hosting The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special—which is scheduled to air on Monday, March 15. ..........................................................

As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives. As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives — especially Christian conservatives. On virtually every issue important to conservatives of all stripes, large U.S. corporations ("Big Corp" for this column) stand opposed — almost unanimously! — to American conservatives. In other words, to the detriment of America and the truth, Big Corp has gone "woke." Coca-Cola provides the most recent and egregious example of gross corporate wokeness. According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees...

WASHINGTON - For President Joe Biden and his circle, a low point in America's global standing under President Donald Trump came when he blew up a meeting of U.S. allies in 2018, accusing close partners of "robbing" the United States and hurling insults at his Canadian host. So it was no accident that Biden's push to reclaim American leadership in recent days has pointedly included a starring role for Canada, as the new administration seeks to woo an array of allies with a message that "America is back." But it's increasingly clear that Biden cannot simply sweep up the broken...

There you shall offer him as a burnt offering, on a mountain I will point out to you.’ When they arrived at the place God had pointed out to him, Abraham built an altar there, and arranged the...

Sam Cheung, a young activist and a participant in an unofficial primary election last summer, was charged after reporting to a local police station, dressed in a black mask and accompanied by his wife. “Hong Kongers have a really tough time these days,” he told reporters before entering the station. “I hope everyone won’t give up on Hong Kong ... (and) fight on.” Cheung was arrested in a dawn raid along with more than 50 other democrats on Jan. 6 in the largest national security operation since the law’s passage last June. They were accused of organising and participating in...

The president of the Dominican Republic has announced plans to build a fence along its border with Haiti, which extends for about 380km (236 miles). Luis Abinader said the barrier would help curb illegal immigration, drugs and the flow of stolen vehicles between the two countries, which share the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. Mr Abinader said work on the barrier would start later this year. Haiti is one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere. Relations between the two neighbours have been historically difficult. Mr Abinader said the barrier in some "conflictive" sections would include a double-fence along with...

It’s just the flu, bro. I had a few threads lately discussing anal swabbing. This is mandatory in China and an American epidemiologist has recommended it for children in the USA in order to improve testing accuracy. I say any society that willingly accepts mandatory anal swabs is a society of effete losers. Just to be clear, an anal swab isn’t simply a swab. Swab is a euphemism for a 1.5 inch insertion. And just to be additionally clear, if you think anal swabbing is the line that cannot be crossed that marks a Flubro, or marks a constitutional conservative,...

Ben Sasse is about to be censured by the Nebraska GOP for his antagonistic stance toward Donald Trump — again. But he doesn't care. As Sasse's fellow Republican critics of Trump fret over blowback from a base that demands loyalty to the ex-president, the senator isn't even trying to dissuade those seeking to punish him. Sasse conceded in an interview: “I assume I'm going to be censured on Saturday, but I haven't spent any time to talk anybody out of it.”

Iran is supporting its Houthi rebel allies and proxy in Yemen to conduct an increasing war against Saudi Arabia, the Saudi-led Coalition, and also against Yemen government forces in Marib. Twenty four hours have seen an increased offensive against Marib in Yemen, a reported ballistic missile attack on Saudi Arabia on Saturday night and an attack on a ship in the Gulf of Oman. It is part of a series of tensions across the region linking Iran to conflicts in numerous places. This could be seen as a kind of “total war” that Iran is pushing across the Middle East....
