Woke Coke is No Joke

As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives.

As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives — especially Christian conservatives. On virtually every issue important to conservatives of all stripes, large U.S. corporations ("Big Corp" for this column) stand opposed — almost unanimously! — to American conservatives.

In other words, to the detriment of America and the truth, Big Corp has gone "woke." Coca-Cola provides the most recent and egregious example of gross corporate wokeness. According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees to complete online training that instructs them on "What It Means to Be White" and how to "try and be less white."

This racist training declares:

To be less white is to:

be less oppressive

be less arrogant

be less certain

be less defensive

be less ignorant

be more humble

listen

believe

break with apathy

break with white solidarity ...

No doubt this garbage is directly the result of Coca-Cola bowing to the evil efforts of the "woke" army of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the like. As Al Perrotta recently put it, "of course, it's doubtful anybody with any brains in Coca-Cola's leadership really believes such racist, divisive gibberish. But they do believe the Woke Warriors won't let them rest until they push this poison onto their employees."

I don't drink soda, and thankfully Poland Springs isn't on the list, but here's a list of other things to avoid purchasing:

The Left is the schoolyard bully. Corporations simply want to make money. Fighting the schoolyard bully will only damage them, or so they believe. So, they go along with the schoolyard bully. The bully hates Christian conservatives, therefore the corporations hate Christian conservatives. It’s as simple as that. Having sat in board meetings of a multinational corporation, I can attest that is exactly their thinking.

I met and spent a few hours with a board member of the ITT corporation. She was gorgeous. Dressed like a fashion model, and, very vocally, held every standard liberal bias and view*. Her grasp of the actual business though, seemed lacking.

I think she was the result of the board saying, hey, we’re being dunned for lack of diversity, so they added her. By diversity, they don’t mean a conservative woman or a conservative black. They mean exactly what that woman was.

The long term impact of this takeover of corporations bodes ill for America.

* She expressed the view that she would give an ex-con a job over any other candidate because, “he deserves a break.” I asked, “What about the father of three who has never once transgressed the law and now needs a job? Doesn’t he deserve a break too?” She blushed red and her face turned nasty. I got kicked under the table by the VP of our division. During a break he whispered to me, “If you want to keep your job, don’t poke the bear.”

Someone at the highest level in Coke thought this was a great idea. It shows how stupid a hard core liberal is. It’s actually unbelievable. It s an example of an elitist democrat voter.

University-indoctrinated progressives in upper management, doing what they were so carefully trained to do — be progressive agents of change, to turn people against each other, and ignore what the overlords are doing to us.

Karens as as voters, single moms, pubic school teachers, HR directors, corporate leaders and politicians have wrecked America. And let the real bad guys slide.

Multinational corporations are neither American nor “capitalist”

They are Fascist

>>Corporations simply want to make money.

That’s a 20th century notion.

The Left will tell you that all media and all corporations are “conservative” because they are all “capitalist”

I’ve seen plenty of edicts and agendas in the corporate world that have zero zip nada to do with economic advacement.

“Rev” Al Sharpton used to shake down corporations with threats of protests. Write him a check and his arguments would stop (and the situations would remain unresolved).

Think Hillary Clinton once sat on the board at Walmart because she was an economics whiz?

Today the board and offices are filled with agenda activists.

“That’s a 20th century notion.”

I understand your point. Like anything so large as the combined corporate boards, no one generalization can be true.

I did notice one trait that seems to be universal, at least in the relatively large sample I was exposed to. If the board member, officer or manager would receive financial gain by meeting an objective that objective would be met even if it became obvious that the objective would damage the company in some way. This proved true even if the gain was as little as $100. (That comes from an actual event I was involved in. Meeting the objective cost the company about $25,000 and disrupted several people’s lives.)

Another general tendency is for companies to avoid any conflict or interaction with the outside world that they can not control. This is why employees who speak out publicly, or become a news item in themselves, are generally fired. I believe that is the reason so many boards go along with liberalism, simply to avoid and public exposure they can’t control.

Conservatives do not create any controversy by advocating conservatism and threatening “cancellation” like the liberals so often do. Thus, conservatism automatically fails in the corporate environment.

In order to stop this trend to liberalize corporations, an enforced law going after cancel culture advocates or doxers would be required. That simply won’t happen.

Me, I vote with my wallet. I haven’t bought any Coke or Disney or Starbucks or Penny’s product in years. But the list keeps getting longer. Eventually, I will be down to wearing and eating grass.

All these corporate donations to and affirmation of the BLM movement are simply replacing those that used to go to Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow/Push organization.
The R/P group used to go on an anual tour throughout corporate America starting with a kick-off on Wall Street shaking down companies for protection money. In 2020 the plague put the lid on JJ’s road show and BLM simply filled the void.

I’ll have a white milk, please.

(The milk industry could use some help, anyway.)

Friday evening the missus and I stopped at a local grocery store and she spied caffeine free coke on the shelf, she said it hasn’t been available for months, and grabbed a 12 pack. I said whoa hold it right there, you are too white to drink that. She says what are you talking about, so I relayed the story. She bought caffeine free Pepsi instead. I don’t really know if Pepsi is much better from a moral standpoint but I at the moment was satisfied.
