RUSH: Grab audio sound bite number 30. This is a two-part element of a point that I want to make. This afternoon on CNN’s Newsroom, the anchor John King had as his guest California representative Democrat Karen Bass. John King’s question: “Some of your colleagues — some activists around the country — remember what happened in June when there were Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington. The Capitol was very well protected by police and other law enforcement in riot gear.” Now, do you see where this is going? Do you remember…? In fact, one of the narratives today is...

Maybe Trump could use some encouragement with the super-sized amount of backstabbers and liars he is dealing with these days? I decided to email him and tell him how much I appreciated him and all he has done for the country and that I am praying for him constantly.

Two House members nearly came to blows and had to be separated by a Capitol staffer after several lawmakers had preached about coming together as Americans. The wild scene took place as lawmakers debated certifying the Electoral votes from Pennsylvania. An altercation reportedly took place between Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) and Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), though what prompted it remains unclear.

These are dark days in the history of the United States, and no one is feeling them more intensely than Mike Pence. On Wednesday, the vice president admirably turned aside the president’s high-intensity demands that he shred the Constitution. Trump was pushing Pence to usurp the states’ power over the disposition of their electoral votes — in effect, to claim dictatorial power to reverse President-elect Biden’s victory. Pence’s fidelity to his constitutional oath so enraged Trump that the president publicly rebuked him even as an insurrectionist mob was descending on the Capitol. Press reports indicate that the rioters, upon overwhelming...

One way or another, we need to fight them. We. Us. Right now. On the ground. And not with bullets. I confess until this morning I was in flat despair over how to do it, until Larry Correia, bless him, threw off an off-hand comment: “Yet while I watched this, Twitter kept deleting the accounts sharing the file list. They’d block somebody, and then ten minutes later someone else would share it and get blocked too. In the half an hour or so I scrolled through dead voters the people sharing the list kept vanishing. It was kind of amazing...

Good grief… Could the purposeful timing of those intent on preserving corrupt intelligence and U.S. government institutions be any more transparent? As CTH noted weeks ago, the DNI report on foreign involvement in 2020 election interference could structurally have established the framework for election challenges on the basis of the guarantee clause of the constitution. However, in order for that to be effective it would be needed prior to the congressional certification of the electors. Today, literally hours after congress votes to certify the election results, that very same DNI report is now delivered to congress. Buried inside an article...

RUSH: This is Rachel in Brooklyn. I’m glad you called, Rachel. How are you? CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for USA and we appreciate it and all the best to you. I’d like to tell you that I think President Trump has been a prince of a president, the best president the country ever, ever had. He never did anything criminal, never anything at all, and the other side has done all the criminal and illegal stuff, and it is unbelievable that they could get into all the courts illegally, change everything illegally, and...

Vice President Mike Pence expressed anger about President Trump to a Republican senator after the commander-in-chief made the veep a target of the angry crowds that stormed the Capitol for simply following the Constitution’s rules regarding the Electoral College vote certification. Speaking to Tulsa World after the shocking series of events unfolded Wednesday, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) revealed that he had spoken to the vice president — and that he was furious.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is now predicting that America won’t return to “a strong semblance of normality” until the Fall, and even that will take Herculean efforts to increase the speed of vaccine distribution. “If we then diligently vaccinate people in April, May, June, July, that we will gradually and noticeably get a degree of protection approaching herd immunity, which I believe — first of all, no one really knows what absolute herd immunity is for coronavirus. We know what it is for measles because we have decades of experience with measles. So I would say it’s somewhere between 70% and...

2020 was one of the worst years in modern American history for small businesses. And now, thanks to a wave of minimum wage legislation that kicked in on January 1, things are about to get even worse.Make no mistake: small business owners are already seriously hurting. To add insult to injury, thousands of small businesses were vandalized and looted during the summer unrest after the death of George Floyd. (No, insurance doesn’t eliminate the harm). At least 100,000 small businesses that were forced to close in 2020 will not reopen, according to Yelp. In a recent survey, almost 60 percent of...

Literary survival in an age of tyranny: The F word vs. the law, and legitimacy An often repeated quote, almost always mis-attributed to Voltaire, makes an interesting study of itself, in usually being presented as: "Voltaire once wrote: “To find out who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” Who in American politics are people not allowed to criticize?" https://www.quora.com/Voltaire-once-wrote-%E2%80%9CTo-find-out-who-rules-over-you-simply-find-out-who-you-are-not-allowed-to-criticize-%E2%80%9D-Who-in-American-politics-are-people-not-allowed-to-criticize Legitimizing the quote has required its re-attribution to avoid mentioning, much less wallowing into what it was that drove the real author to think as he did. In current context, that history only amplifies...

The California Rodeo Salinas has been postponed until September 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The rodeo posted the update on Thursday saying that their executive board voted unanimously to postpone the 11th rodeo. The event, which was originally scheduled for July 15-18, will be held Sept. 23-26. “The current COVID-19 situation in Monterey County and the Central Coast and new guidance from state and local governments have led us to believe that postponing our Rodeo is the right thing to do at this time,” said Rodeo president Dave Pedrazzi. Ongoing updates can also be found at www.CARODEO.com or by...

RUSH: You can find news stories. (Snort!) “News.” There isn’t any news. You can find, quote-unquote, “stories” in the media about the plan to impeach Trump now. I don’t know how widespread it is, but I’m telling you it’s real. There are people, a lot of maybe pundits, but you know as well as I do: It doesn’t matter where you find a leftist, they’re leftists. They’re either disguised as journalists or elected Democrats or what have you. So pundit, journalist, commentator, pick your poison. They are suggesting that Trump be impeached, that he is such a threat, that yesterday...

Gov. Chris Sununu and his top health official told NHJournal Tuesday that New Hampshire is using racial and ethnic considerations in determining who gets early access to the limited supplies of COVID-19 vaccine. “We have a plan in terms of allocating a certain amount of our vaccine to ensure equity,” Sununu said. “A plan to reach our communities that tend to be inequitably served by our healthcare system.”

Former US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis has suggested that President Trump should face exile in response to some of his supporters storming the Capitol building yesterday. Trump sought to de-escalate the situation by telling protesters to go home during the chaos, but Twitter subsequently deleted his tweets and locked him out of his account. While many are now pushing for Trump to be removed as President under the 25th amendment, Mattis suggested he should be stripped of his citizenship entirely.

The nation would be better off if President Donald Trump resigned or was removed from office, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said Thursday. “I think there’s no question that America would be better off if the president would resign or be removed from office,” he said during a press conference:
