RUSH: Here we go. Well, looks like the wife of Cocaine Mitch, the Turtle, Cocaine Mitch, by the way, is his nickname on the blogs for a reason I’ve never seen explained. So don’t look to me. In fact, I prefer the Turtle, which is my given nickname for Mitch McConnell. And don’t misunderstand. Don’t misunderstand. But his wife is Elaine Chao. She has just resigned. She’s Secretary of Labor, I think, Secretary Treasury, Secretary of Busing. I don’t know what. She quit. (interruption) What? (interruption) Ah, I tell you, I got a staff here that… you can’t believe how...

A shocking COVID-19 Crackdown story has emerged from New Mexico to remind us that injustice is an immortal human-created monster that always should be exposed and fought. According to New Mexico based WISNews10 and KOAT, 78-year-old Gary Hein had to sue his state-run nursing home system and its overlord, the New Mexico Department of Health, just so he and his own wife could embrace. Hein and his spouse, 80-year-old Ann Severine, have been together for over three decades. Gary resides in the “Independent Living” portion of his Santa Fe nursing facility while Ann, who suffers from dementia, lives in the...

The CNN anchor made the comment Wednesday as video of angry protesters storming the Capitol appeared on the screen. “Look at them, they’re high-fiving each other for this deplorable display of completely unpatriotic, completely against law and order, completely unconstitutional behavior, it’s stunning,” Cooper said. “And they’re going to go back to the Olive Garden and to the Holiday Inn they’re staying at, or the Garden Marriott, and they’re going to have some drinks and talk about the great day they had in Washington … They stood up for nothing other than mayhem.”

I began my day around 8 a.m. at the rally/protest between the Washington Monument and the Ellipse, in a sea of flags and people. The crowd most definitely looked like America, and I was struck by how incredibly many women were there. There were also black faces and absolutely scores of Asians. Judging from their signs and flags a large number of these were Chinese and Vietnamese Americans, who have a much fresher and more personal impression of communism than the rest of us. At least one other account I have read describes a feeling of menace in the air....

RUSH: Hey, folks, it’s great to be back. Really great to be back, and I need to ask you a favor. I need to you to give me a few minutes here just to get my sea legs. This has been a very, very bad couple of weeks for me. I don’t want to get into any more detail about it. Those of you have been through this know exactly what I’m talking about. But it has not been a break in the sense that it hasn’t been restful or relaxing or any kind of what people would call a...

In a remarkable speech from the Senate floor, Senate Majority Leader Mitch castigated his fellow Republicans who challenged Arizona's election results, arguing they were subverting the Constitution by attempting to overturn the election results. "I've served 36 years in the Senate. This will be the most important vote I've ever cast," McConnell said. "The voters, the courts and the states have all spoken. They've all spoken. If we overrule them, it will damage our republic forever." -snip McConnell, who had urged his members not to challenge to the results, addressed senators as they gaveled in to debate the objection. He...

LONDON (AP) — Britain’s National Health Service will from next week employ a little-used field hospital specially built at a huge exhibition center in east London in the early days of the pandemic last spring. NHS England Chief Executive Simon Stevens said Thursday that the pressures facing hospitals in London and the southeast of England are so acute that the Nightingale hospital at the ExCel London will be opened next week to inpatients. A few hundred beds for non-COVID patients are expected to be available at first.

REID: “The reason they could easily and casually, with their cameras on, film themselves throwing things through the walls of our Capitol, our property, going inside the Capitol, sitting in Speaker Pelosi’s office, casually, take pictures of themselves, have that played on Fox News, they know that they are not in jeopardy because the cops are taking selfies with them, walking them down the steps to make sure they’re not hurt, taking care with their bodies, not like they treated Freddie Gray’s body. White Americans aren’t afraid of the cops. White Americans are never afraid of the cops, even when...

Vice President Mike Pence is expected to attend Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration later this month after overseeing Wednesday’s chaotic certification of the president-elect’s Electoral College win. Three sources close to Pence said he would likely make an appearance at the Jan. 20 event in a show of support for the peaceful transition of power. The decision to attend, they said, became easier after President Donald Trump publicly criticized Pence leading up to, and following, his refusal to stop the certification.

James O'Keefe Today Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.” - Yeats, the 2nd coming. Most of the messages I’ve been getting over the last 24 hours are the most hopeless and cynical things I’ve ever seen in my life. “Nothing matters” “Nothing will come of exposing them” “Nobody is ever arrested or held...

Muriel Bowser, the Democrat mayor of Washington, DC, held a press conference Thursday to declare a state of emergency following protesters’ violent attack on the Capitol Wednesday. The response will include 6,200 members of the National Guard from across the country deployed being deployed in the city by the weekend, a seven-foot “unscalable fence” around the Capitol grounds, and possible stay-at-home or business shutdown orders. “We may have to do extraordinary things to maintain public safety,” Bowser said.

How did this happen.. Years of neglect and years of letting the left do whatever they wanted. Years of Churches going in a wrong direction. Years of losing the foundation we stood on and years of being spoiled with things and more things. You are not all going to agree with this, but look where we are doing it your way...It's not working.. it's not working at all. I can go way back and I remember more than most.. It's become a "thing" to not give older folks any credit.. but the wisdom you seek is earned by living it!...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today in the nation's capital, Congress was set to begin counting electoral votes, but was stopped by a group of Trump supporters storming the Capitol building. "Congress was trying to count the fraudulent electoral votes and steal the election, but we stopped them just in time," said protestor Ganther Buggo as he propped his feet up on Nancy Pelosi's desk. "We're in charge now!" The protestors then invoked the little known 29th Amendment of the Constitution that says the first person to storm the Capitol while Congress is in session and stand there triumphantly shall become the next president...

RUSH: I’ve been thinking so many things, folks, during all of this, when I’ve had moments of, shall we say, consciousness. Imagine how things might be different today — and I know it’s no fun to play this game ’cause it doesn’t accomplish anything, but I still want to. I want to get some of these things out there and off my chest. Imagine how things might be different today if Congress was as mad, was as outraged when private businesses were being burned to the ground and innocent citizens were attacked this past summer during riots across the country...
