The CNN anchor made the comment Wednesday as video of angry protesters storming the Capitol appeared on the screen.
“Look at them, they’re high-fiving each other for this deplorable display of completely unpatriotic, completely against law and order, completely unconstitutional behavior, it’s stunning,” Cooper said.
“And they’re going to go back to the Olive Garden and to the Holiday Inn they’re staying at, or the Garden Marriott, and they’re going to have some drinks and talk about the great day they had in Washington … They stood up for nothing other than mayhem.”

I stopped going to Olive Garden back in 2011 when Darden Restaurants, Inc. decided to take Moochelle Obama’s advice, and offer more healthy items on the menu instead of French fries for example. They started with the kids’ menu, as if she hadn’t done enough damage to childrens’ school lunches. Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze and Red Lobster, were all included. They pledged to reduce sodium in their menus 10% over five years, and 20% over 10 years, and also removed carbonated drinks from the kids’ menus. Olive Garden and the rest of them can kiss my ass for eternity. Thankfully there aren’t any of them near me, so my boycott since 2011 has been pretty easy.

Isn’t it amazing how those who have been stoking the flames of riot, looting, vandalism, arson, and murder not just over the last 8 months, but for the last 5 years, are now shocked and outraged by a relatively minor disturbance yesterday where the only lasting damage done was the murder of a young woman by some “security” agent. Why don’t we hear people chanting “say her name”? Why don’t see horrified talking heads endlessly running the shooting on a loop?
