California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom's team is increasingly concerned over the latest recall effort against the governor, and they should be. California Secretary of State Alex Padilla notified organizers of the recall effort on Thursday that the group had crossed the 10 percent threshold of signatures required under state election code. According to the recall group, county registrar recorder officials must now begin the process of hand verifying every petition collected. Proponents of the recall say they have collected more than 800,000 signatures of the 1.5 million necessary to trigger a special election. And organizers say signatures are pouring in...

Unlike many current Democratic nominees, JFK was a patriot. Sure, he might have made some decisions that we conservatives don’t agree with. But still, he loved America and the values such as liberty that make it great. And that’s what this quote by JFK on the survival of liberty is about. Because JFK was so eloquent, there’s little to explain this quote of his. But, I do think examples of what it actually means would be helpful. Yes, America should try to avoid foreign entanglements. We shouldn’t get involved in forever wars to try to establish democracies in the Middle...

According to 7 of the 9 SCOTUS judges, any number of states can brazenly violate the US constitution in order to achieve what political aims they favor – and no other state(s) can have leave to argue the issue before the premier federal court. Of course Texas has standing! If any state of a republic violates the laws (US constitution) that apply to all, any other state has standing to at least have a hearing – if not eventual justice. Let’s say a neighbor does something obnoxious that not only violates local laws but impacts me – e.g., burning auto...

I recognize and understand the enormous pressure under which German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been laboring. She has been Germany’s chancellor for 15 years and is now approaching retirement, in September 2021. With French President Emmanuel Macron temporarily distracted by the laïcité issue and other serious security concerns within France, Merkel has become something of the sole main decision-maker for the EU. I also understand why the German chancellor does not want another country, Hungary, to announce its intention to leave the EU on her watch. That is reportedly what Orbán was preparing to do in recent days, because he...

A Bloomberg News report indicates that multiple migrant caravans are forming in Central America and are heading for the border in the coming weeks. The caravans represent an “early test” for President-elect Joe Biden and his promised efforts to abolish President Trump’s substantial immigration reforms, according to Bloomberg. The report cites Jose Luis Gonzalez, coordinator of the Guatemala Red Jesuita con Migrantes, who advises “there are going to be caravans, and in the coming weeks it will increase.” Gonzalez notes that it is Biden’s promises to reverse Trump’s anti-illegal immigration policies that are, in part, motivating the caravans to make...

The researchers who developed the calculator expect it to be useful to public health authorities for assessing mortality risks in different communities, and for prioritizing certain groups for vaccination as COVID-19 vaccines become available. The algorithm underlying the calculator uses information from existing large studies to estimate risk of COVID-19 mortality for individuals based on age, gender, sociodemographic factors and a variety of different health conditions.

“He has inherited a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did [God] ever say, ‘Thou are My Son, today I have begotten Thee’? And again, ‘I will be a Father to Him and He shall be a Son to Me’?” (Heb. 1:4-5). Jesus is better than the angels because He is more than a created messenger—He is God's eternal Son. Angels are "ministering spirits, sent out to render service" (v. 14). A son, of course, is superior to a servant (cf. Luke 15:19). In the ancient near east, a son was deemed fully equal to...

There is a tsunami of authoritarianism coming. In fact, depending on the final results of the presidential election, we conservatives may get swept up in its undertow sooner than we think. There appears to me to be an odd aggregation of ideologies merging into one on the horizon – and none of the parts, or the whole they create, is good. Merely describing it as bad does a disservice to the word bad. Maybe catastrophic is even too mild. If things progress the way the woke and radical world leftists envision, we may be looking at combining Alinsky's Rules for...

The story of Hanukkah begins during the period in between the Old and New Testaments, when Antiochus IV Epiphanes became the ruler of the Hellenistic Seleucid Empire. While the Hellenization of the region already threatened the survival of the Jewish religion, Antiochus seemed obsessed with ensuring the demise of Judaism and thereby, the future of the Jewish people. He not only murdered the High Priest, Onias III, but he slaughtered 40,000 inhabitants of Jerusalem. The observance of the Sabbath and feast days were prohibited as were sacrifices and temple services. In the final assault on Judaism, Antiochus ordered an idol...

Grace Community Church Pastor John MacArthur has warned that today’s world is “perfectly suited for the Antichrist to come” amid the chaos and “lawlessness” stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. MacArthur, whose Sun Valley, California-based church has repeatedly sparred with authorities over COVID-19 worship restrictions, said on Sunday that world governments “have done something that's never been done in human history” by making the pandemic issue and the response “global.” “Now we are a global world. And that is a setup that we've been waiting for through redemptive history since the Lord promised that there would come, in the future, an...

Santa Clara County launched a door-to-door coronavirus testing effort this week to curb a pandemic that's spiraling out of control. Community leaders started knocking on doors Thursday, offering free tests that people can choose to self-administer with nose swabs. Results are delivered in 24 to 48 hours.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Innovex Downhole Solutions says it was recently denied an order of jackets by The North Face, a popular outdoor recreation company, because Innovex is an oil and gas business. “I was surprised but not surprised, if that makes sense,” said Innovex CEO Adam Anderson. Innovex is based in Houston and has nearly 100 workers in the Permian Basin. Each year, the company gets a Christmas gift for its employees. This year, it was supposed to be a North Face jacket with an Innovex logo, a company Innovex has ordered gear from in the past. The company...

Pray For the Peace of JerusalemLambs, Sheep, and Shepherds.Psalm 95Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. 3 For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us...

In a longwinded article titled “Hidden Enemies: An American History of Taqiyya” for Cabinet magazine, the author, “Joshua Craze” -- an apparent pseudonym for a self-identified Muslim man -- predictably downplays the dangers of taqiyya, an Islamic doctrine that permits Muslims to deceive non-Muslims. Consider the following excerpts: [T]aqiyya had become a central pillar of the far-right’s rendition of Islam. Because I am a masochist, I spent a few days trying to source all the quotations in one report, “Taqiyya about Taqiyya” by Raymond Ibrahim, a virulent Islamophobe associated with David Horowitz… It would be too easy to say that...

Color revolution tactics that have been used against foreign leaders are now being used by President Donald Trump’s opponents to oust him, a former special forces officer has warned. “A color revolution is a tactic to affect regime change,” the officer, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Epoch Times. “What I see happening is a Marxist insurgency that’s using a color revolution to affect regime change.” The 2019 Transition Integrity Project, according to the officer, is an indicator that the events of this year’s presidential election were “transparently orchestrated” by “Marxist elements within the Democratic Party and their Marxist...

When the flight log, whistleblower testimony, and leaked image are all viewed, it is hard to not reach the conclusion that Chief Justice John Roberts visited Epstein’s island. Personally, I think the evidence is convincing, although I recognize that the images could be fake and the testimony made up. But, if real, it would point to why John Roberts has made the decisions he has made since appointed. He has avoided contentious issues when possible because of blackmail or because he fears being in a situation where he could be blackmailed. When it came down to how to vote, he...

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has taken on a case by President Trump’s legal team, seeking to have hundreds of thousands of ballots in Democratic Dane and Milwaukee Counties thrown out, even after a circuit court judge dismissed the case Friday. The latest suit is an attempt by the Trump campaign to stop the Electoral College vote Monday, an effort that seemed like another fruitless attempt when it was dismissed by the circuit court judge earlier in the day and after a string of cases that have been thrown out in lower and high courts throughout the country.
