There is a tsunami of authoritarianism coming. In fact, depending on the final results of the presidential election, we conservatives may get swept up in its undertow sooner than we think.
There appears to me to be an odd aggregation of ideologies merging into one on the horizon – and none of the parts, or the whole they create, is good. Merely describing it as bad does a disservice to the word bad.
Maybe catastrophic is even too mild.
If things progress the way the woke and radical world leftists envision, we may be looking at combining Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, communism and fascism.
More and more we're hearing terms like, Build Back Better, stakeholder capitalism, Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) and Social Credit System.

Too many Americans played the, “get rid of Trump and then vote for the right guy in 2024 game”.
That type of thinking is why the left is going full bore, because they are not intending to allow any 2024 elections. At least not one with real choice.
Once one party rule is established in the federal government, there will be no constitutional check on those maniacs in DC or locally for that matter. This is totally conceivable.

Patriots waited too long, the commie cancer has metastasized. Last minute treatment, now, will be harshly invasive and damaging.
Heard an estimate last night that possibly 110,000 small businesses have closed and probably never to return. Will the folks that started them now need to seek employment from someone else that can ‘better’ control things? Sad damn situation

Strange you mention that. The attitude that you need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and take any job that comes along - even if it’s a brutal manual labor job that’s part-time and pays minimum wage - is a common theme here on FR by many Freepers. Didn’t matter what you did or made before the CCP virus and the lockdowns. There’s work available and you should do it. Other whacked out job suggestions mentioned on FR were work as farm labor, work in meat rendering plants or work in heavy manufacturing

My paternal grandfather ran from Russia to escape Communism almost 100 years ago, so that he and his (as yet unborn) children could be free. His father had all of his property seized, and was later murdered by the NKVD; most of his family were effectively prisoners for 3 generations.
On my mother’s side, the Nazis murdered about 70 aunts, uncles and cousins of my grandparents.
There is nowhere in the world that could be a refuge for me and my family as this country was for my family 100 years ago. Sure, we could go somewhere, but with this country removed as a check on the Collectivist scum, no place will be safe for more than a brief time. Knowing that, and knowing how this people operate because of my family history, I also will not roll over - there is simply no choice, as being a slave isn’t a valid choice. Besides, with what I have written online, and with all of the traitorous Leftists (including “friends “ and family that I have pissed off by telling them what I think of them and their politics) over the years, I sincerely doubt that they would want me alive - I am sure that I am on several lists, and will be on more when rewards start being offered.
One thing will be interesting, though - seeing how the Collectivist scum will fare when most of a continent-sized country with 330 million people, a long and proud history of freedom and half a billion firearms wakes up and decides that they aren’t going to allow those scumbags to have any power over their lives. Whether any of us survive, that will be an epic story for the ages.

As more of the economy is controlled by a smaller number of CEOs, it will be easier to exert control over the totality of economic life. In an economy of many small businesses, it is much easier for a “politically incorrect” person to find a way to make a living, than when every corporate HR department shares a list of “problematic” people. Use of “social credit” on prospective new hires WILL be demanded of large corporations. They will NOT want trouble from screaming Leftists.

After liberation they somehow all managed to reconnect with Oppa who had been conscripted as a cook by the nazis. Forced out of Yugoslavia where they had immigrated years before.
