More than 1,000 Chinese military-linked researchers have left the United States since authorities arrested several suspected undercover Chinese military officers over the summer, according to a senior Justice Department official. Republican senators who have rejected COVID relief packages that are the brainchild of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were targeted in a protest Tuesday in which body bags were left at their doors. A noontime boom that was heard and felt from southern Ontario to Virginia was likely caused by a disintegrating meteor, according to an organization in western New York that keeps track of such phenomena, the AP reports.
