A large gang of heavily armed bank robbers invaded the Brazilian city of Cameta just one day after a similar force struck another mid-sized city on the opposite side of the country, taking residents hostage as they looted a bank.
Video on social media showed a line of roughly a dozen hostages being led away from a square in Cameta, a city of 140,000 people, and shots ringing out in the night. Local media reported that a military police station was attacked, preventing officers from responding.
The coordinated attack came a day after a similar overnight robbery of a Bank of Brazil branch in Brazil’s southern region. In the city of Criciuma, dozens of gunmen armed with assault rifles seized the city and took hostages as they used explosives to rob a bank.

Surprised Burn-Loot-Murder didn’t think of this first.
Biden and the demonRATs will get this started in the USA soon.
Needs to return to the days of the desaparecido.
This is why the US issued special currency in Hawaii and North Africa during the 1930s. They were afraid of an invasion and by the currency being different the Treasury could simply cancel the entire series.
“...a similar overnight robbery of a Bank of Brazil...”
An interesting bit of history.
Thanks.
Faced with a $200 million stockpile of US currency, military officials opted to destroy all the recalled currency instead of overcoming the logistical problems of shipping the currency back to the mainland.[3][4][5][6] At first, a local crematorium[a] was pressed into service to burn the notes. To ensure complete destruction, a fine mesh was placed on the top of the smokestacks to catch and recirculate unburnt scraps of currency escaping the fire.[3]
Progress on the destruction was slow, and pressed with time, the bigger furnaces of the Aiea sugar mill were requisitioned to help burn the currency

Chicago? Minneapolis?
Michigan Ave. was a warm up; when they came in with the U-Haul trailers.
Some friends think shopping malls just beyond the city will be targets.
Oakbrook has a grand total of forty sworn officers and many high value targets.
Brigandage.?
Sure, I can see this happening in the near future..
20 or 30 home boys from some large city get together and raid some of the smaller towns..
Maybe that's the big reason they want to do away with the cops..(?)
I’m waiting for Woodfield but will settle for Oakbrook!😎
Still open for the usual grab and run... straight to the bus to Rosemont. After a quick stop next to the car with the open trunk. And they were all wearing masks.

They were. During the summer riots the Illinois State Police blocked the exits to the Aurora Outlet Mall on I88 with snow plows. Aurora PD covered the entrance on Eola Rd armed with rifles.
I saw this with my own eyes.

Now that you mention it, YES!
Our daughter was out that way and noticed some unusual firetruck activity, on the computer scanner channels, they were directing fire trucks for possible “show of force”?
Now I remember!
Thanks
We were coming home from the gun club in Waterman and noticed the activity. We chuckled a bit and joked that we should stop and offer the cops some back up.
We had our AR rifles, 200 rounds in loaded magazines, our 1911 pistols and a metric f-ton of hollow points, and a .50 cal with 50 rounds in the back of the truck. Everything was dialed in and ready to go.
Wonder what they would have said.
