Fresh analysis of Europe's earliest known battle has thrown up the possibility the 1,400 people who died at the site, in Germany's Tollense Valley, were not warriors engaged in a brutal melee, but ambushed merchants who were ruthlessly slain. The identity of the assailants remains unknown but it is thought they surprised the entourage and killed their guards before looting and murdering them. Human remains at the site in North East Germany, near today's border with Poland and 80 miles north of Berlin, were first found in 1996.

For centuries, the most powerful witness of God’s people to the world has been the shining forth of Christ through deep suffering in their lives. Christ’s manifest character has touched those around them and ministered to atheists, Muslims, and unbelievers of all kinds. The apostle Paul said, “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10). Paul knew...

"From childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim. 3:15). Planting and nurturing the seed of God’s Word in a child’s mind can produce an abundant spiritual harvest. Not long ago I met with a group of Christian leaders to consider several candidates for a significant ministry position. During our meeting it dawned on me that each candidate's father was a prominent pastor. Each candidate had grown up in a family that daily taught and exemplified biblical truth. That illustrates...

WASHINGTON (AP) — A divided Senate is set to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, giving the country a ninth justice Monday as Republicans overpower Democratic opposition to secure President Donald Trump’s nominee the week before Election Day. Democratic leaders asked Vice President Mike Pence to stay away from presiding over her Senate confirmation due to potential health risks after his aides tested positive for COVID-19. But although Pence isn’t needed to break a tie, the vote would present a dramatic opportunity for him to preside over confirmation of Trump’s third Supreme Court justice. Senate Democratic leader Chuck...

Dunkin’ Brands, the parent company of the Dunkin’ and Baskin Robbins chains, has held "preliminary discussions to be acquired by Inspire Brands," FOX Business has confirmed. Dunkin' Brands Chief Communications Officer Karen Raskopf noted that there is "no certainty that any agreement will be reached" and that neither group will comment further until a transaction is agreed upon. A spokesperson for Inspire Brands declined to comment on rumors around potential acquisition targets. The potential deal, valued at roughly $8.8 billion, would take Dunkin’ Brands private at a price of $106.50 per share, two people with knowledge of the negotiations told...

Stocks decline sharply as coronavirus infections surge and stimulus negotiations remain at a stalemate. Stocks declined sharply Monday to kick off a week heavy with earnings from U.S. tech giants as coronavirus infections surged, stimulus negotiations remained at a stalemate and investors prepared for the presidential election just more than a week away. Democrat nominee Joe Biden vowed to create a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million illegal immigrants at the final presidential debate, telling America “we owe them.” Moderator Kristen Welker noted that the Obama-Biden administration failed to deliver immigration reform and was strict with deportations before changing course. Biden called that failure “a mistake” and vowed to correct it in his administration. “Within 100 days, I’m going to send to the United States Congress a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people,” he announced. “And all of those so-called dreamers, those DACA kids, they’re going to be immediately...

Trump needs to have the DHS keep an eye on Lenzilumab (Lenz) Testing. Lenz was the only treatment that neutralized the Cytokine Storm Pre-Covid (since 2015) and now appears to cure Covid faster than any pharmaceutical out there even when just being used by itself. It was good to see that Tucker Carlson DID talk about Lenzilumab (Lenz) a couple weeks ago as possibly being the first FDA approved Covid pharmaceutical ( https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/potential-breakthrough-coronavirus-treatment/vi-BB19FOgW ). Otherwise news most likely passed you and everyone else by. Giving cover to the FDA and NIAID with the task of slow walking testing past the...

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An effort to recall Wisconsin Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has failed, the recall’s organizer told supporters on Monday. Misty Polewczynski, of Burlington, posted on the “Recall Evers Petition” Facebook page on Monday that not enough signatures were collected. She did not say how close the group came to collecting the nearly 670,000 needed signatures and she did not immediately return a message seeking comment. “It is with a heavy heart we announce that after proofing and what came in over the weekend, we have fallen short,” she posted to the group that has 80,000 followers. “We...

If the liberal media’s relative silence towards Facebook and Google’s Orwellian behavior this electoral cycle seemed deafening, perhaps it's because many outlets have received big loads of cash from them. A Washington Monthly report headlined “How Facebook and Google Buy Off the Press” said that by 2018, both Big Tech companies “were already among the largest funders of journalism in the world.” However, since then, both corporations “have gone on to promise a total of $700 million in funding for journalism, not counting other ‘undisclosed’ funds and in-kind contributions.” What makes this funding dubious, is that “[j]ust who is receiving...

Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson on Monday announced a run for the Senate seat currently held by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), becoming the first Democrat to enter what is expected to be a crowded 2022 race. In an ad posted on YouTube Monday morning, Nelson accused Johnson and other Republican senators of mismanaging the United States' response to the COVID-19 pandemic."There's just no help in sight," Nelson says. "And people like Ron Johnson have made this worse." “Who gets tested for COVID and then goes to a party and puts people at risk?” he adds, referring to Johnson's attendance at...

A U.S. Postal Service employee is out of a job amid an investigation into over 100 absentee ballots discarded in a dumpster in Louisville, Kentucky. A contractor found the unopened 112 ballots while renovating a home in Jefferson County on Thursday. Additionally, two political flyers were discovered by special agents with the Postal Service Office of the Inspector General. “When the investigation is concluded, the case will be presented for federal prosecution to the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Special Agent Scott Balfour said in a statement. The case has been turned over to the U.S. attorney’s office, Balfour said. Such incidents...

Here we go, folks. This election will determine whether we continue on as a free Republic with the Constitution and the rule of law preserving our republican form of government as established and continue guaranteeing our God-given Liberty or we go Venezuela. If we lose this election, the radical socialist-democrats will attempt to impose their globalist Green New Deal and carry out their plans to pack the courts and do what they wish as a godless one-party state with no constitutional constraints. Then (assuming they were to succeed in subduing we the people--we do have a prior and higher claim...

In an epic case of poor foresight, the “clean, green” wind industry forgot to come up with a plan for what to do with wind turbine blades after they stop working. Like all things, they get old and stop functioning properly after a while, but the plastic used to make them lasts virtually “forever.” The industry has found ways to recycle the steel used to build the towers, but not the fiberglass (a type of plastic) used to build the blades of the high-tech windmills. Now that the first generation of wind turbines has reached the end of their “lives,”...

In a Monday appearance on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich laid out what President Donald Trump should focus on in his final push for reelection. Gingrich advised Trump to emphasize that the United States’ response to the coronavirus pandemic has worked better than other nations’ handling of the virus, how his economy will outperform Biden’s, and the “corruption” seen from Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his family. According to Gingrich, if Trump fixates on those three key points, “he will win a surprisingly big reelection.”
