How many times have we said it?The hypocrisy of the Left knows no bounds. After a summer of all but donning cheerleader uniforms and rushing to the streets in support of “peaceful protesters,” Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, and pretty much the entirety of the Democrat Party are now running away from the riots as fast as their hypocritical legs can carry them. On August 31, Biden declared: “I want to be very clear about all of this: Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting. None of this is protesting. It’s lawlessness, plain...

Sheriff Tony Spurlock criticized the Republican opponent in an interview.. Republican Sheriff Tony Spurlock has endorsed Democrat Lisa Neal-Graves in the race for Douglas County District 2 commissioner. In a Sept. 21 interview with Colorado Community Media, Spurlock lambasted one of Neal-Graves’ opponents, Republican George Teal, in a series of comments, including an allegation that Teal does not support law enforcement. “I think he is dangerous for Douglas County,” Spurlock said about Teal. In a statement, a spokesperson for Teal’s campaign said the endorsement “does not carry much water in Douglas County.” “Previously, Sheriff Spurlock endorsed Clint Dorris, who was...

A strange space object approaching Earth is about to get captured by our gravity and become a new, temporary “mini-moon.” The object, which is dubbed 2020 SO, could be an asteroid. Or it could be part of the Surveyor 2, a robotic spacecraft launched to the moon on Sept. 20, 1966, according to the science and nature website EarthSky.org Traveling at the extremely-slow-for-space speed of 1,880 miles per hour, the object was seen last week by astronomers in Hawaii, and it’s on course to be captured by Earth from October 2020 until around May 2021, according to EarthSky. Astronomers here...

Market inspectors in the Binh Duong province raided a factory near Ho Chi Minh City, where they discovered used condoms being repackaged to be sold at the market. The most important choice American voters face in November is whether to re-elect Donald Trump as president. The second-most important is whether to leave Republicans in control of the Senate, whose assent is required to pass federal laws and to confirm presidential nominees to federal courts and senior jobs. If Mr Trump wins another term, Republicans will almost certainly hold the Senate as well. But if he does not, a Republican-controlled Senate would serve as a strong check on Joe Biden’s administration. If the record of Mitch McConnell, the Republican majority leader in the Senate, is any guide, a hostile...

A sub-source used to compile the so-called Steele Dossier, a controversial opposition research document against then-candidate Donald Trump, was previously the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation, Attorney General William Barr disclosed in a letter released on Thursday. The detail was previously redacted from a footnote in Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz's 2019 report on four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance, or FISA, court warrant applications. But U.S. Attorney John Durham, tapped by Barr to review the origins of the FBI's Russia probe, signed off on Barr releasing the detail to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who is doing...

Its agenda is plain for all to see: cop-killing With another two police officers shot at the Black Lives Matter riot in Louisville on Wednesday, it’s time to lift the veil on the whole movement: It’s a haven for unrepentant cop-killers. These aren’t isolated incidents. It has been fewer than two weeks since supposedly “peaceful” BLM radicals chanted, “We hope they die,” while blocking the entrance to a hospital where two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were undergoing life-saving surgery. An assailant had walked up to their patrol vehicle and opened fire from point-blank range without provocation.

Commentary: The largest electric utility in West Virginia has entered into an agreement with an environmental group that coal industry officials fear could lead to the shutdown of two major coal-fired power plants in the state. Under the agreement between the Sierra Club and Appalachian Power, the utility will conduct “retirement analyses” for the John Amos power plant at Winfield and the Mountaineer power plant near New Haven. Appalachian Power serves 465,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in the state, and those two power plants provide about 70 percent of the power generated by the utility in West Virginia. Jeri...

Nine Ohio counties are now under red alert in the state’s coronavirus advisory system, with Cuyahoga County continuing a step lower at orange for the the sixth consecutive week, Gov. Mike DeWine announced Thursday. The red counties because of growing or lingering COVID-19 spread include the addition of five this week - Ashland, Delaware, Pike, Scioto and Stark. Four others remain there from the previous week - Butler, Mercer, Montgomery and Putnam. A week ago there were five red counties, the lowest number since DeWine introduced the four-level advisory system July 2.... Each county is graded on seven criteria. Meeting...

The federal government’s top infectious disease official attempted to reassure the public Thursday that he’ll support safety standards set by federal officials for any COVID-19 vaccines and their work won’t be swayed by politics. “If (U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials) come and say this is the way we should do it, I’ve got your back on that,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an online discussion organized by Emory University. The remarks came in response to a question from Dr. Sanjay Gupta, an associate Emory University professor and CNN medical correspondent who moderated the discussion, if Fauci will resist efforts...

The political world was stunned on July 24, 2019, when Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller testified before the House and Senate. It was not anything Mueller said that shocked observers — it was his demeanor. The 74-year-old special counsel appeared confused at times. He sometimes had difficulty answering the most basic questions. He had difficulty forming complex sentences. The Mueller at the witness table was a far cry from the Mueller who took over the FBI 18 years earlier. Colleagues remembered a man who was super sharp, on top of everything, a micromanager. Now, many of those watching were concerned....

Busy week, with a LOT to catch up on. Stay tuned; I will. In the meantime, two important videos about California and Texas. First up, the great J.P. Sears. The COVOD-19 lockdown is probably bad for his touring act, but it has meant that he’s producing more videos for us to enjoy. Although he lives (I think) in Colorado, he turns his attention here to California, or as he puts it, “the world’s largest prison” (or, in one of his better formulations, California’s “homeless-industrial complex”):

Gov. Tom Wolf is accusing the GOP-controlled General Assembly of acting irresponsibly in ways that will harm Pennsylvanians at a time when he is trying to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. At a Thursday news conference that was billed as focusing on government reform and COVID-19 mitigation efforts, the governor spent a good part of the time criticizing lawmakers for pursuing “dangerous legislation” this week. He was referring to the House’s failed attempt on Wednesday to override his veto of a bill that would have allowed local school officials to set attendance limits at sporting events and extra-curricular activities....

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to watch a physicist try to explain quantum mechanics to a room full of delinquent kindergartners, we finally have a pretty good idea. Most of our readers probably already know that Trump appointed Dr. Scott Atlas of Stanford University’s prestigious Hoover Institution to his COVID-19 task force last month. As I noted when the good news broke: Dr. Atlas is one of the thousands of medical experts the Democrats and their media enablers don’t want you to know about who’ve been trying to put the breaks on the suicidal, anti-science response...

President Trump said that his opponent Joe Biden will “do fine” at Tuesday’s presidential debate because his team will give him a “shot of something” before he comes on stage. “Biden will do fine," Trump told supporters at a rally in Jacksonville, Fla. "He's been doing it for 47 years. They'll give him a big shot of something before he has to go out there, he'll be full of energy. He'll be fine." He then turned to hit his opponent for failing to campaign just five weeks before the election. “He did a lid again this morning, I’m working my...
