pbs and judy woodruff panned trump and boosted mail in voting this evening in the taxpayer paid propaganda newshour.
absolutely 100% of the guests interviewed were pro-mail-in balloting. absolutely 100% of the “facts” presented were pro-mail-in balloting.
100% of the commentary was anti-trump, focusing on trump’s alleged lack of absolute commitment to a “peaceful transition of power” if he should lose the election.

I suspect pelosi is cooking up a scheme to intercept power using the succession act as incoming speaker of the house by convening the house (by possibly using extra-legal or extra-constitutional means) even if the presidency remains contested on january 20.
if so, trump, mcconnell and grassley are surely aware of the scheme, and hopefully they have a counterplan of some kind lined up. however, somehow the counter plan needs to take out the mail in voting and ballot harvesting, or the coming election nightmare will not end well for one side, the other, or both.

I think the FEDERAL LAW actually requires that the 7-year-old Nit-wit running the House step into the WH on Jan. 20 if the race is still undecided. I hope I’m wrong. Of course, if the new House is GOP, then a GOP Nit-wit would enter the WH.
But only if it is possible to convene the House legally, ie be able to count a physical quorum present, and elect an incoming Speaker... (???) otherwise the succession of power of the presidency falls to the acting President Pro Tem of the Senate (who would presumably continue to be Chuck Grassley).
OK, the incoming Speaker appears (to me) to be voted by the absolute majority of the incoming House members-elect on approximately January 3, 2021.
An interesting question arises if the republicans have a chance of winning the House in the november 2020 election (anyone know offhand?)
NJ limiting locations for in-person voting is bad enough, but the fact that they call it a “provisional” ballot - that is an outrage.
I would hope the Trump campaign lawyers would challenge this.
As you say, there was never a chance of President winning NJ’s electoral college votes, but the President also needs to win the popular vote, or we will never hear the end of it.
Have you heard of any other states going this far to suppress in-person voting?
I live in PA and I very much want to vote in person on Election Day. I’d hate to find out I can’t when it is too late.
