DALLAS — What happened at a Galveston County nursing home over the last week was one of the first big tests of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 patients in Texas. “I thought the risk of seeing 15% of that nursing home die was just not an acceptable,” said Dr. Robin Armstrong, MD, medical director at The Resort at Texas City. Fifty-six residents at this senior facility in Galveston County contracted the novel coronavirus. Dr. Robin Armstrong said 39 of them gave him permission to treat them with hydroxychloroquine pills. “Most of the patients have done well. And, you know, and I...

Republicans in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed a bill on Tuesday that would lift certain coronavirus mitigation measures in an effort to boost the state's economy, sparking intense blowback from Democrats who decried the health risks. The state legislature passed the bill, Senate Bill 613, 108 to 94 on Tuesday. It was opposed by all Democrats in the chamber, as well as a few Republicans. Phoenixville area State Rep. Melissa Shusterman (D-155), who voted no, issued a memo to Chester County's legislative delegation urging them to resist the bill. "In order to keep the 'curve flat,' we must continues...

A drug that’s been touted by President Donald Trump as a “game changer” didn’t help hospitalized patients with coronavirus and was associated with heart complications, according to a new study. “This provides evidence that hydroxychloroquine does not apparently treat patients with Covid 19,” said Dr. Paul Offit, an infectious disease specialist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “Even worse, there were side effects caused by the drug — heart toxicities that required it be discontinued.” Trump has said that hydroxychloroquine shows “tremendous promise” and has made it sound like the drug is harmless. “I think it’s going to be great,” Trump...

Protestors disrupted Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear’s (D) coronavirus briefing Wednesday, chanting for the governor to “open up Kentucky.” About 100 people had gathered on the lawn of the State Capitol by the time Beshear spoke, and could be heard throughout the governor’s televised briefing, the Courier Journal reports. Beshear acknowledged the protesters about halfway through his hour-long briefing, but said he would not be adhering to the demands to reopen the state economy, which he said would lead to more fatalities. "We do have some folks up in here in Kentucky today — and everybody should be able to express...

Which of these two famous guys more likely committed the sexual assault he has been accused of? A) Brett Kavanaugh. B) Joe Biden. The answer is obvious, which is why Sleepy Joe has just picked up two very tepid endorsements, one from 78-year-old millionaire socialist Bernie Sanders, and the second from the other half of what Joe calls “the O’Biden-Bama administration.” On his latest podcast, Sleepy Joe modestly introduced himself: “Well, the uh look um uh you know uh uh with uh the fact is that uh there’s a lot going on I don’t know where to begin but uh...

Six days? The cover-up of the Wuhan Flu and its pandemic potential went on for much longer than six days, but the Associated Press highlights the final six days of Beijing’s initial campaign of lies and denial over COVID-19. Even though they knew that community transmission had turned the infection into a wildfire, China allowed Wuhan to host a party for “tens of thousands,” while watching millions transit to celebrate New Year. In the six days after top Chinese officials secretly determined they likely were facing a pandemic from a new coronavirus, the city of Wuhan at the epicenter of...

Does anybody remember listening to Chuck Harder on the radio? Chuck was a prophet warning about the dangers of trade with China the WTO, NAFTA. He had a small program that broadcast to small radio stations. He was so concerned about being co-opted by big business that he would not even have advertisers because advertisers would try to censor his programs. His source of income was from listener donations and books sold by his guests. God bless you Chuck wherever you are, whether in this world or the next.

A pair of scientists believe that up to 270,000 residents of California have the novel coronavirus, 10 times more cases than have been reported. The researchers estimate that up to 4.8 percent of the total US population was infected with the virus by April 6 - 40 times the number of confirmed cases. They also suggest that almost 50 percent of New Yorkers, which comes out to around nine million people, are likely infected, reported the San Francisco Chronicle.

We still have a very sore point with Governor Cuomo's not allowing doctors to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine for outpatient use. This outpatient ban by the governor makes New York State the only state in the union banning outpatient use of Hydroxychloroquine for out of hospital use. Listen to this. Our local pharmacies have Hydroxychloroquine supply, BUT doctors must indicate that the prescription is for something other than CoVid19. It is allowed for Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis but not for CoVid19. This is unprecedented. HELP ME TO SPREAD THE WORD THAT GOV.CUOMO IS HURTING New Yorkers from benefitting from out of hospital Hydroxychloroquine....

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said Wednesday that she would agree to running as vice president on the Democratic ticket with presumptive presidential candidate Joe Biden. Asked by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow what she would say if the former vice president asked her to be his running mate, Warren said she would say yes. The comments come just hours after Warren endorsed Biden, her former primary opponent, in the race. Warren expanded on her endorsement Wednesday during her interview with Maddow, praising Biden for his empathy that she said would be beneficial in leading the country, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. Warren...

Jonathan Karl - Wikipedia Here are the 1 star reviews: "Absolutely one of the most pitiful narcissistic books I ever read. Never saw an author so in love with himself and making himself into something so important. I am neither left or right but wow I'm surprised this guy hasn't taken a spot for himself on Mt. Pulitzer. Seriously a...

Two years before the novel coronavirus pandemic upended the world, U.S. Embassy officials visited a Chinese research facility in the city of Wuhan several times and sent two official warnings back to Washington about inadequate safety at the lab, which was conducting risky studies on coronaviruses from bats. The cables have fueled discussions inside the U.S. government about whether this or another Wuhan lab was the source of the virus — even though conclusive proof has yet to emerge. In January 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing took the unusual step of repeatedly sending U.S. science diplomats to the Wuhan...

Heaven Help Us: On Easter Sunday the Universal Shepherd Calls for a “Universal Basic Wage” As I write this column for The Fatima Center, my 96-year-old father is battling the Wuhan virus in a New Jersey nursing facility where he is being administered hydroxychloroquine — the drug the lying media mock merely because Donald Trump endorsed it — along with zinc, Vitamin C and a powerful antibiotic. The prayers of many assist him as well. I am asking readers of this column to remember my father in your prayers. We have every hope he will recover from the virus, whose...

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino warned that Americans could rise up if federal and state governments continue to strip them of their freedom in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It seems a historic crisis has led many of our leaders to forget the phrase, ‘Give me liberty, or give me death!’ And that, according to Bongino, could lead to civil disobedience amongst the people. “200-plus years of liberty [and] freedom are being flushed down the toilet almost overnight,” he warned. “Civil disobedience is about to make a bold comeback if something doesn’t change, STAT.” Bongino’s message was accompanied by...

One of Chris Cuomo's biggest fears is now a reality ... the CNN anchor says his wife, Cristina, has also tested positive for the coronavirus. Chris was joined by his older brother, NY's Governor Andrew Cuomo, Wednesday evening on his CNN show when he made the announcement. He said, "Cristina now has COVID, she is now positive, and it just breaks my heart. It is the one thing I was hoping wouldn't happen, and now it has." The Governor and his bro discussed the fact it's near impossible for only one family member to contract the virus ... when they're...

After Barack Obama endorsed Joe Biden this morning, a humbled, thankful Biden expressed his gratitude in a video of his own. "I'm delighted to have the endorsement of my old friend, CornPop," he said as horrified aides attempted to cut off the footage. "You know, CornPop and me go way back. I used to work at the community pool. There were both poor kids and white kids, everyone getting along great. I was wearing a rubber chicken on my swim trunks, as was the style at the time. Sometimes the kids would run their fingers through my leg hair and...

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox is optimistic that the state’s economy may reopen sooner than officials previously estimated. But, he acknowledged that Utah leaders must be careful not to act too quickly in the face of an unprecedented global pandemic that no one completely understands yet. "I’m not sure we fully understand the depth and breadth of what this virus has unleashed. There is real pain: physical, psychological, emotional, economic," Cox wrote in a Twitter thread Wednesday morning. "But there is nowhere in the world I would rather be than here. With you. … We always...
