Does anybody remember listening to Chuck Harder on the radio? Chuck was a prophet warning about the dangers of trade with China the WTO, NAFTA. He had a small program that broadcast to small radio stations. He was so concerned about being co-opted by big business that he would not even have advertisers because advertisers would try to censor his programs. His source of income was from listener donations and books sold by his guests.
God bless you Chuck wherever you are, whether in this world or the next.
Ross Perot too
Yes.
So did Buchanan and he was labelled a racist and xenophobe.
Sound familiar?
Yup I used to listen to Chuck Harder and Sonny Bloch out of Middletown, CT. The “For the People” song is still stuck in my head.
I listened to Chuck every day back in the 90’s, etc. He knew too much; ‘they’ ran him off the air...IMHO
Yup he was all over this issue back in the early 90’s. Bush 41 sicced the IRS on him and pretty much ruined his life.
Chuck died two years ago.
Ironic that his company, while he was still alive outsource a tremendous number of jobs.
So China
Is a Communist Nation.
.
There’s a Problem here.
I do indeed. I listened to him regularly. Liked his show a lot.
Wow, that was a POS hit piece not disguised at all as a real bio.
I don’t know when I last listened to his show, but whatever happened after that did not rate that piece of Wikicrap.
I used to tape record Chuck Harder so I would not miss the shows.
The Bushes were not good Presidents.
Me too. that song is stuck in my head as well.
Remember Larry Nichols spilling the beans on the Clinton crimes.
Ya, tell me about it.
someone needs to make a *real* wiki about him.
One thing for sure, Chuck Harder was ahead of the curve.
Many politicians fit the “wolves in sheep’s clothing” description. Duplicity is a way of life in politics.
I think I remember him being interviewed by Art Bell back in the 90s too.
Quick bio:
He was from Elgin, Illinois where he became a teenage DJ like Rush Limbaugh. Eventually ended up on WMCA in New York and ABC Talknet.
Moved to Florida and eventually started his own radio network. Organized as a non-profit which was a mistake because when he went after GHWB on globalism he sicced the IRS on him. That investigation ran over a decade.
This forced him to sell his network. Pat Choate, who was Ross Perot’s running mate in ‘96, brokered a sale to the UAW. Chuck quickly found that he could not support all of the union’s political positions so they fired him.
He eventually came back but never had the same audience. Before that he was second only to Limbaugh in number of affiliates. He was in a serious car accident in the early 2000s and spent the last years of his life in a wheelchair. He died two years ago.
I was a big fan back in the 90’s.
