I'm starting a thread so that we can collect specific examples of Mayors, County Executives, and Governors exceeding their authority or otherwise improperly curtailing your freedom. This whole thing was a test, and many governors failed. Mayors certainly did. This thread is to pile up specific examples of these excesses so that the weight of them perhaps can be brought to bear on some of these . . . statesmen and women. I'll start: In my city the mayor decided to ban construction activity, and yet the city road crews were out in force getting the roads build (under city...

He's on-the-air. One of America's very best Talk Radio Show Hosts, IMO: Chris Plante from WMAL in DC. His show is the "prep work" for many other shows. And, unlike the others, he pulls no punches, tells it like it is and doesn't take any guff from liberal, leftist or commie/socialist/fascist callers. He's the guy we'd all like to sit down with and have a cheeseburger and a cold one, while talking about the state of America, and the crazies who are pulling the strings, behind-the-scenes. Get a fresh refill of your favorite coffee, a warm croissant, the Hoppe's Cleaning...

A team of researchers from Fudan University in Shanghai and the New York Blood Centre researched the virus’s ability to kill powerful immune cells – the exact things that are supposed to kill coronavirus. The findings were published earlier this week in medical journal Cellular and Molecular Immunology and were in line with previous fears expressed by doctors that the virus could cause damage similar to what’s seen in HIV patients... In their experiment, scientists attached the living COVID-19 virus onto lab-grown T cells. T cells, or T lymphocytes, play an integral role in the body’s ability to find and...

Very interesting perspective on what Fauci and Birx, etc is trying to do with society. It comes down to preventative medicine v lifestyle medicine. Or simply take care of yourself.

This post is to help physicians, thought leaders and public officials understand and weigh the risks and benefits of extended lockdowns versus more measured and earlier return to work measures. 1..We have already flattened the curve This is with the likely over reporting of death. 2. Economic collapse and unemployment are destroying families Each day the shutdown continues, we are losing approximately one million jobs 3. We have not saturated the health care system 4... Suicide may kill almost as many people as COVID-19 this year. 5...The mortality was likely overestimated The IHME model, as well as Dr. Fauci have...

A 39-year-old woman took Flight 701 from Doha, Qatar, to John F. Kennedy International Airport in late February, the final leg of her trip home to New York City from Iran. A week later, on March 1, she tested positive for the coronavirus, the first confirmed case in New York City of an outbreak that had already devastated China and parts of Europe. The next day, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, appearing with Mayor Bill de Blasio at a news conference, promised that health investigators would track down every person on the woman’s flight. But no one did

Social restrictions aimed at stopping the spread of the coronavirus could have saved lives if they’d been started earlier, and when they’re eased new cases are certain to arise, said the nation’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, seeming to draw the ire of President Donald Trump. Trump, who has been chafing at criticism that he didn’t do enough early on to fight the virus, reposted a tweet that referenced Fauci’s comments and that said “Time to #FireFauci.” Trump again pointed to his decision in late January to restrict travel from China, writing, “Sorry Fake News, it’s all on...

It’s just the flu, bro. Is this the new template for the socialists? They have found a very innovative way to stop the healthy and productive with this lockdown. Is there any history for having entire nations (or cities) quarantining healthy people and not just sick people? The goal of the lockdown was to flatten the curve. It has been more than sufficiently flat that hospitals are not overrun. Therefore everything can get opened up.

Here is video of two clips of Dr. Anthony Fauci on “Today” on Feb. 29 saying point blank there was no need for Americans to change their behavior because of the Coronavirus. But today, April 12, he essentially threw President Trump under the bus, leaving the impression he had recommended Social Distancing efforts the third week of February. This is totally dishonest, and it gives the Trump-hating media a narrative to run with. Listen to Fauci’s words. . . .

WASHINGTON - A voter initiative led by Michelle Obama announced support Monday for making it easier for people to register to vote and cast ballots during the coronavirus pandemic. When We All Vote, a nonpartisan voting initiative, says Americans should have greater access to voting by mail, early in-person voting and online voter registration. The announcement follows last week’s primary election in Wisconsin, where thousands of people waited hours in line - without protective gear and in defiance of orders to stay home - after the state Supreme Court overturned the governor’s order to postpone the vote as more than...

Beijing: While the coronavirus epidemic has caused panic all over the world, China is not deterring its poor acts. China once again demonstrated its strength in front of the entire world on 11 April, in which the Chinese Navy took part in realistic maritime operations. After this action of China, the whole world is in panic. About 10 days before this, China had also conducted military maneuvers at an undisclosed location. Due to which the neighboring countries were in panic. Japan and Taiwan are the most troubled by China's military drills. This time, China has launched missiles equipped with guided...

It affects mind more than body: Doctor who beat virus. TNN | Apr 6, 2020, 04.09 AM IST NEW DELHI: The psychological effects of Covid-19 are harder to fight than its physical manifestations, Dr Vivudh Pratap Singh, an interventional cardiologist who recovered from the disease recently, told TOI. Singh, who works at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, had gone to Paris in February to attend a fellowship for an advanced cardiology course. However, with the Covid-19 crisis building up globally, he decided to return. He underwent thermal screening at IGI Airport on arrival, but didn’t show any symptoms. Therefore, he was...

Anticipation over United States Attorney John Durham’s investigation is growing as Attorney General William Barr recently hinted he is building the case to prosecute people. “He is looking to bring to justice people who are engaged in abuses if he can show that they were criminal violations, and that’s what the focus is on,” Barr told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham on Thursday. “He’s diligently pursuing it.” The comments have heartened those who have long awaited consequences for current and former officials who investigated the Trump campaign on the basis of a discredited dossier put together by ex-British spy Christopher Steele...

"Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos has tested positive for COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus. Stephanopoulos announced his diagnosis Monday on "GMA," nearly two weeks after his wife, actress and bestselling author Ali Wentworth, confirmed she tested positive for COVID-19. Stephanopoulos, who shares two daughters with Wentworth, has been his wife's caregiver throughout her battle with COVID-19. Wentworth self-isolated in a room in the family's New York home at the start of her symptoms in order to try to avoid spreading the virus. Stephanopoulos said it was "no surprise" that he tested positive for COVID-19, but revealed...

Well, this was inevitable, wasn’t it? – As the Wuhan Virus outbreak pretty clearly hit the top of the curve and began to turn over late in the week, the corrupt hacks at CNN led the media/Democrat effort to now begin revising history. That requires a new narrative, and the new narrative, kicked off on Jake Tapper’s Sunday show, is that “lives could have been saved had the evil Trump just acted sooner.” Making things easier for Tapper and other corrupt Democrat media toadies to concoct the new narrative is Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is more than willing to cooperate...

Back in 2017, Michael Osterholm, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota told Time magazine that “We are sitting on something big with H7N9 [bird flu],” and “Any one of these cases could trigger something big. By then it’d be way too late.” Looking back now, it looks like a lot of other people had warned that it was just a matter of time before a pandemic of the COVID-19 scale took place. And if the government had been prepared and if it didn’t get in the way of the ability...
