"Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos has tested positive for COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus.
Stephanopoulos announced his diagnosis Monday on "GMA," nearly two weeks after his wife, actress and bestselling author Ali Wentworth, confirmed she tested positive for COVID-19.
Stephanopoulos, who shares two daughters with Wentworth, has been his wife's caregiver throughout her battle with COVID-19. Wentworth self-isolated in a room in the family's New York home at the start of her symptoms in order to try to avoid spreading the virus.
Stephanopoulos said it was "no surprise" that he tested positive for COVID-19, but revealed that, unlike Wentworth, he has been asymptomatic.
"I’ve never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath," he said. "I’m feeling great."

What about all those Dem voters crammed into illegal, substandard housing sanctioned by major metro Dem mayors? Those folks are crammed into conditions that make steerage on the Titanic look spacious.
What are all those Dem voters supposed to do, George?
They can’t self-isolate in those conditions, can they?

Why did he get tested if he was asymptotic? I thought that only people with symptoms could be tested in order to conserve the tests.

Makes you wonder, again, how widespread the infection may already be. When nearly all of us have been exposed to it, there will be little point in isolating ourselves from one another. Those antibody tests would be informative.

Which is ironic because I suffer from all of these symptoms if I hear Stephanopoulus.
Antibody tests would be informative, but won't tell us the number who are exposed to the virus, but because of natural immunity, never become infected by the virus. They would not develop antibodies to the virus.
(The Diamond Princess and Theodore Roosevelt outbreaks may be helpful in that regard. I've heard that only two (2) Theodore Roosevelt crew members have required hospitalization. Out of about 4,800 crew members.)
