The reopening of the U.S. economy after mass shutdowns in response to the coronavirus pandemic will have to happen at different times across the country based on conditions in each community, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield said Monday.

But that’s the way social separation should have been rolled out, if at all.
Whatta buncha maroons.
How about “state by state” starting with all states not NY, NJ which, between the two of them, represent over half the deaths in this federation of nations.
“Director Robert Redfield said..”
Instead of being fired and prosecuted, this guy is exercising command and control.
NY can never really open up because they are mass transit dependent....and you know they don’t clean those filthy systems.
If it is left up to the Power-Tripping Democrats some states will never open.
The holdouts won’t hold out for long.
One thing all Lefty Democrats have in common is an insatiable, unquenchable thirst for tax revenue.
They’ll look at what’s happening in red states and they won’t be able to help themselves.
I learned this attending shale fracking trade events where local Democrat politicians were walking around having visible multiple orgasms from the thought of the pending revenues.
NY state will suffer because of the dopes running the show in NYC
Eight billion a year to protect us from stuff like this, and the best idea they can come up with is stay six feet away?
Your average high-school kid could have come up with THAT one.
Too busy fighting “Climate Change”
This epidemic is largely concentrated in sanctuary cities.
The Left are now covering their tracks and misinformation campaign. They are saying it is racism that the Coronavirus is largely confined to sanctuary inner cities.
The rest of the country needs to open up quickly and only the sanctuary cities should remain on lock down. The rest of the country can still practice social distancing, wear masks and maybe no large gatherings of over 100 people?
I thought the science said 27 ft indoors.
I don’t think NY should have a problem opening up. This thing is just another flash in the pan. Now that we know about HCQ, etc. and can remember that this is really something that mostly attacks the elderly, it’s nothing really to worry about at all. That is why a washington nursing home with 120 people lost 35 of them early on, but a texas nursing home, also nailed by this thing, but using HCQ, only lost one person out of 135.
If that would have happened in Kirkland (The washington outbreak) we’d probably never have gone into lockdown.
As far as I’m concerned, the “serious” danger is over, Fouci and CNN notwithstanding.
#canwegobacktoworknow?
My oldest son lives in NYC....fortunately in an area with a low, low rate of infection and he’s a clean freak.
“CDC director expects”
Did he clear that with the President”
...This epidemic is largely concentrated in sanctuary cities.
I think the global shutdown and widespread isolation is overdone,
county by county rules,
based on rolling average over 14days new #cases/100,000 would be better
low incidence (low mobility/rural) should be handled very differently
than high incidence (high mobility/city)
just as WVa has low case load burden,
and New York has high case load burden.
The one size fits all approach unnecessarily impacts low risk populations,
and are insufficient for severely effected areas
Socialist thug drunk on power.
So when was the CDC given responsibility for economic planning? They’ve proven that they can’t handle their own mission...
