Michigan Democratic state Rep. Karen Whitsett credited hydroxychloroquine and President Trump for her speedy recovery from COVID-19, according to the Detroit Free Press. Hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, has been touted by the Trump administration as a potential key to treating the disease. However, critics of the potential treatment note the drug has not been widely tested for its effectiveness on COVID-19 or recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Some have said Trump's broadcasting of the drug as a potential coronavirus treatment could result in a shortage for those who need it for other ailments it is used...

Do you remember the bill of rights? There are ten rights promised to Americans within it. Since the Chinese WuFlu pandemic hit, Americans have lost half of them and anyone who has studied human history knows the "temporary" loss of human rights is rarely temporary. Here's a comprehensive list, for those of you keeping track of the recent assaults on civil rights. 1.The First Amendment The First Amendment is comprised of several rights including the freedom of religion, speech, assembly, press, and petition. We've lost three of those. Churches have been deemed "non-essential" and closed. Christians have been arrested for...

As I was reading news, I saw this pop up, and started the survey (with a dems-hate-america@ email address). Figured I'd skew their results a little (although they will just toss it). Anyway, here is one of their "Questions": Barack Obama's 2020 efforts will help elect a new Democratic President and a powerful Democratic Majority in Congress. To support President Obama's goals, we've begun an aggressive, multi-faceted campaign to damage Trump and his reelection chances. Do you support the early campaign to stop Trump's reelection? Unbelievable, although not really. We are at war!

An Ecuadorian court found former President Rafael Correa guilty of corruption Tuesday and sentenced him to eight years in prison, further sullying the legacy of one of the nation’s most enduring and polemal political leaders. Judge Iván León said prosecutors had proved the existence of a “structure of corruption” led by Correa and 19 other high-profile politicians and business l

Tourists are not welcome in a Colorado county during the coronavirus pandemic, and they could face jail time if they come. Gunnison County officials initiated a public health order last week that says non-residents and tourists must stay out to help slow the spread of coronavirus, and it comes with hefty consequences if it’s violated, according to county documents. If someone doesn’t follow the public health order, they could be hit with a fine of up to $5,000 and spend 18 months in county jail, according to the order. Dr. Michael Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Program, suggested during a March 30 press conference that individuals infected with the Chinese coronavirus should be removed from their homes to prevent further spread of the deadly disease. The clip, first reported by Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson, shows Ryan warning that “most of the transmission that’s actually happening in many countries now is happening in the household at family level” before he speculates on measures to prevent the infection of patients’ relatives.

Many fact-checkers were quick to deny the rumors that people were burned alive in Wuhan funeral homes, but the latest report that comes from Radio Free Asia picture a different story a story where the CCP is exposed and itÂ’s not protected. The long lines and stacks of ash urns greeting family members of the dead at funeral homes in Wuhan are spurring questions about the true scale of coronavirus casualties at the epicenter of the outbreak, renewing pressure on a Chinese government struggling to control its containment narrative. The families of those who succumbed to the virus in the...

America’s deeply unserious but very corrupt and unreliable establishment media have no intention of changing their dangerous ways in the age of the Wuhan coronavirus. Watching the media spread lies and unnecessary panic over the last few weeks reminds me of the CNN Race Riots of 2014. After the George Zimmerman Hoax failed, after it was discovered that a white man had not hunted down and murdered a black teen (Zimmerman is Hispanic and a jury ruled he killed in self-defense), the fake news media moved on to the Hands-Up-Don’t-Shoot Hoax, which was led primarily by far-left CNN and the...

They whiled away the week on a sex- and drug-fueled romp: dancing on white-sand beaches and frolicking on a paradisaical Caribbean island with prostitutes from Europe, some snapping selfies with famous reggaeton artists. But unbeknownst to several children of Venezuela’s ruling elite, the coronavirus was spreading among them. For some of Venezuela’s high-flying “Bolichicos“ – the privileged offspring of the socialist revolution – the party hasn’t stopped amid a widening pandemic in a country already gripped by crisis.

Locals in Wuhan, where the Chinese coronavirus pandemic originated, have heard screams coming from funeral home furnaces, and some treated in hospitals say they saw workers put living coronavirus patients in body bags, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported on Monday.

A woman who was allegedly trying to help her husband during a fight was arrested after police say she stabbed the man her husband was fighting. Morgaine Huey, 22, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Monday for investigation of aggravated assault. About 9 p.m., police say Huey’s husband got into a fight with another man near 2200 S. Highland Drive. “(She) stated her husband was getting hurt and appeared to be losing the fight,” according to a police affidavit. That’s when a witness observed Huey “pull an object out and stab the victim, causing him to fall to...

This crisis is demostrating the suicidal nautre of "Just in Time" supply chains. When it is over we need to end the inventory tax in every state. It is immoral and bad policy to tax wealth that isn't moving anyway but it might just kill us in a crisis.

Sweden, which broke international trends and didn't implement a lockdown in its bid to slow the coronavirus, has so far avoided a mass outbreak. But it's now bracing for a potential surge. As European countries moved into strict lockdown mode — ranging from the closure of non-essential businesses, to police-enforced orders for people not to leave their homes — Sweden carried on almost as normal. The country moved to protect the most vulnerable while doing little to slow the virus through the rest of the population as most workplaces, restaurants, and bars were still open. People have been urged to...

A Heber restaurant is still open for curbside and delivery service during COVID-19 business restrictions. However, some locals said it’s not the food at The Junction Pizzeria & Grill that people are buzzing about. About four weeks ago, the local business advertised a “buy 1 meal, get 1 roll of toilet paper free” campaign. It was met with mostly chuckles and praise. More recently owners changed the Main Street sign to read, “This is the longest anything from China has ever lasted.” Again, many supporters applauded the humor. One social media commenter wrote, “I think the sign is great; almost...

Rev. Franklin Graham’s charity is making sure Alaska residents have the supplies they need to fight the coronavirus. Tuesday on Facebook, Graham wrote that workers with Samaritan’s Purse had delivered more than eight tons of medical supplies to be distributed throughout rural Alaskan communities in the next few days: “This is going to the native villages here in Alaska that are so vulnerable with this virus,” he said. “We love this state, and we want the people here, the residents, especially those in the villages, to know that Jesus Christ loves you very much and we appreciate all the support...

Black Chicagoans account for half of all coronavirus cases in the city and more than 70% of deaths, despite making up 30% of the population. Other cities with large black populations, including Detroit, Milwaukee, New Orleans and New York, have become coronavirus hotspots. The US has recorded nearly 370,000 virus cases and almost 11,000 deaths.

In 2006, then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration began purchasing ventilators to allow the city to be prepared for a pandemic like the current coronavirus crisis -- only for the city to later auction them off, according to a report. ProPublica reported Monday that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued a report in 2006 on the city's preparedness for pandemic influenza -- similar to the 1918 Spanish Flu or the 2019 novel coronavirus -- that projected the city would need thousands of extra ventilators in order to properly treat all of its residents who...
