The universe is looking younger every day, it seems. New calculations suggest the universe could be a couple billion years younger than scientists now estimate, and even younger than suggested by two other calculations published this year that trimmed hundreds of millions of years from the age of the cosmos. The huge swings in scientists' estimates — even this new calculation could be off by billions of years — reflect different approaches to the tricky problem of figuring the universe's real age.

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski appeared to suggest that President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, isn't actually his during Friday morning's broadcast of Morning Joe. The conversation started when Brzezinski, her co-host Joe Scarborough and a panel of guests were critiquing former Vice President Joe Biden's performance during Thursday night's third Democratic debate. The two showed a clip during which Biden made a gaffe while going over on his time talking about education. In his response to racial inequality in schools, Biden said a helpful way to educate kids is to "make sure the record player is on at night."...

This dog had its willpower tested to the limit after its owner left a plate of french fries unguarded on a table. The hilarious 30-second video shows a black Labrador staring intently at its owner's dinner as she busies herself in the kitchen in the background. And the pet seems to be resisting the temptation to steal the grub - until the owner walks out of the room. When her back is turned, the sneaky dog creeps forward and takes a single fry off her plate, before making a swift getaway. It's not known where in the world the video...

Joe Scarborough still occasionally describes himself as a "conservative," but at least when it comes to health care it sure sounds like Joe is all-in with the liberals. On today's Morning Joe, a palpably PO-d Scarborough furiously criticized the way the candidates in last night's Democrat debate focused on the details that divided them on health care. Instead, insisted, Scarborough, they should focus on the big picture. An angry Scarborough ranted: JOE SCARBOROUGH: I am astounded, just politically. I am astounded. This is the third Democratic debate where they spent at least the first third of that debate pounding each...

HOUSTON — Democratic debate night No. 3: Attacks and counter-attacks. Love for one former president, loathing for the current one. A 76-year-old front-runner essentially got called old, and he turned around and called another rival a "socialist." But will it change the fundamentals of a nominating fight that remains remarkably stable at the top with five months until voting begins? Here's a look at some takeaways and potential answers: The third Democratic debate seemed to end in a 10-way tie. Former Vice President Joe Biden was sure-footed (until the end), at least for him and compared with the previous two...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) refused to say if she would raise taxes on the middle class in order to pay for Medicare for All during the third Democrat debate in Houston, Texas, on Thursday evening. Joe Biden (D) lauded his progressive challenger Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for being forthcoming on how he would pay for his Medicare for All plan, admitting that middle class taxes will go up. The issue was also presented to Warren, but she repeatedly dodged the question, refusing to say if she would raise taxes on middle class families. Warren said we all owe a “huge...

The Thursday night campaign trail was a tale of two cities: Houston, where 10 Democratic presidential hopefuls battled in their third debate of the cycle — and Baltimore, where the man they're running to beat had the stage all to himself. At roughly the same time the Democratic faceoff began, President Donald Trump strode into a Republican gathering halfway across the country — unashamed to show up in a city he’d called “rat-infested” a few weeks ago — and launched into well-honed attacks on his would-be replacements. He trotted out the set of derogatory nicknames he's rolled out over months...
