Three members of the National Rifle Association’s board resigned on Thursday August 1, 2019. Concerns about fiscal impropriety and mismanagement motivated the board members to resign from the organization. The three board members — Esther Schneider of Texas, Sean Maloney of Ohio and Timothy Knight of Tennessee — claimed that they were stripped of their committee assignments after they questioned NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre’s spending habits.
