Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) said in a tweet Friday that Democrats will work hard and win over Texas in 2020.
The freshman lawmaker responded to a tweet from MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, which read, “Time for the GOP to start fully freaking out about Texas.”
Ocasio-Cortez took Hayes’s sentiments a step further in a tweet completely in Spanish, telling supporters to get ready because they are “going to work hard and win in Texas”
Hayes’s tweet followed Rep. Will Hurd’s (R-TX) decision not to seek reelection, leaving the 23rd Congressional District of Texas wide open.

The chances are highly unlikely Texas will flip in 2020. But the threat of it is enough to force the GOP to spend resources there. And now with more retirements, there are going to be more open seats to defend.

Hopefully she will spend a few months there campaigning in the hope of making it happen.
Are there that many illegals in Texas already? Because that’s how AOC won in New York. I use to live in her district and the people I still know there tell me she won by organizing illegals to vote for her (I filed a complaint with the NY Board of elections about that which needless to say nothing will be done about it). So if she’s saying Democraps will win Texas, then I assume she is going by the amount of illegals in Texas.
The Democrats won’t win Texas in 2020 or in 2120 or 2220.

Great inside information. If the elections board just shrug off the illegals and the vote harvesting then AOC types are right about TX,AZ,FL,MI,OH going Dem, which equals all Dem victories all the time.

Further, most Tejano families have/use firearms & “gun control”, so the DIM’s foolishness about the 2nd Amendment doesn’t sit well with them either
Texas will be BLUE or even PURPLE, sometime after the 12th of NEVER, until/unless the DIMs just STOP making abusive remarks about religious people & start being PRO-LIFE.
That said, the DIMocRATS have a ZERO chance in 2020, absent MASSIVE vote fraud & we Election Judges/Officers are carefully watching for the LEFT’s attempts to do criminal acts before/on Election Day.

Hopefully, PDJT will preserve The Lone Star state for at least one more cycle.
Have to think having Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Patrick, AG Paxton and Senators Cornyn and Cruz will forge a winning coalition next year.
BTW, we must have voter ID in force in as many states as possible to combat ballot harvesting and other means of fraud.

I—a native Texan and resident-really wish I could share your enthusiasm. You may be like me, living in an area of Texas that is red but changing demographics makes that status questionable. Unless the GOP can gain enduring Hispanic loyalty, Texas is in trouble.
