Remote exploitation can be achieved with no user interaction. Five bugs in Apple’s iMessage service for the iPhone have been uncovered that require no user interaction to exploit, including one that would allow remote attackers to access content stored on iOS devices. Mayor Pete Buttigieg criticized Christians for supporting President Donald Trump, blasting him for cutting food stamp benefits. Buttigieg quoted Scripture at length to criticize Trump and his supporters during a rally in Seattle on Tuesday: When Scripture says that you are to concern yourselves with the poor, and the White House says ‘Let’s take away food stamps.’ When Scripture says, ‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me’ and the White House says ‘send them back’ and ‘build a wall.’ When the Word says, ‘You will know me by my works’ and ‘suffer the little children unto me’ and they’re...

.... Doctors worried the disease may have mutated, and hoped to study her brain after her passing to find out more. When the time came though, her neurologist couldn’t accept the body. Her son hoped reaching out to other donation facilities could lead to the same result. Days later, he received a wooden box with his mother’s information and an ID number. Inside, he was told, was a majority of her ashes. Years went by before Stauffer learned what he was told, wasn’t the case. “She was then supposedly strapped in a chair on some sort of apparatus, and a...

FULL TITLE: Another Democratic debate, another warning about ‘Republican talking points’ (e.g., paying for stuff) Andrew Yang actually had a pretty good line at Wednesday night’s debate when he noted that he was the opposite of Donald Trump: “an Asian man who likes math.” It was a good line because it brought math right out on the table, which isn’t a good sign for a stage full of Democrats who want the government to take over health care. Fortunately, they had Elizabeth Warren’s line from the previous night as their pass out of math class: All of this talk about...

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is preparing a very damning report on James Comey’s conduct in the days leading up to his firing that will likely conclude he leaked classified information (memos) and lacked candor (lied). According to a report out by award-winning investigative journalist John Solomon, Horowitz’s team referred James Comey for possible prosecution for leaking contents of his classified memos, but DOJ prosecutors under Bill Barr have decided to decline prosecution. John Solomon does say however that Comey still isn’t out of the weeds yet and faces legal jeopardy in the ongoing investigation into FISA abuse and the...

The Justice Department’s chief watchdog is preparing a damning report on James Comey’s conduct in his final days as FBI director that likely will conclude he leaked classified information and showed a lack of candor after his own agency began looking into his feud with President Trump over the Russia probe. Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s team referred Comey for possible prosecution under the classified information protection laws, but Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution — a decision that’s likely to upset Comey's conservative critics. Prosecutors found the IG’s...

DETROIT, MI—Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson reported Tuesday that she was not sure what she was doing up on stage with "all these crazy people" after CNN's first Democratic debate. Williamson pointed out that between a guy who praised the Soviet Union, a woman who pretended to be Native American to get ahead in life, and a woman who beats her staffers with a wooden spoon, she was clearly the adult during the debate. "I mean, these guys are really far out there," Williamson said with a concerned look on her face as she smelled a crystal to calm her down....

**SNIP** In a recent study in Nature Climate Change, Danielle Lawson, a postdoctoral student at NC State University, and her colleagues found that putting middle-school children in a class about climate change could influence their parent’s views on the subject. The effects were the strongest on conservative fathers—significant because conservative white men have been previously shown to have the lowest levels of climate concern. Lawson called this a case of "intergenerational learning," or the transfer of behavior and knowledge from children to parents. She thinks their study was successful partially because ideology and political identity have become so conflated with...

According to the Wall Street Journal and the Anti-Defamation League, Donald Trump is largely responsible for desegregating Florida’s wealthy sporting clubs. The story starts back in the spring of 1995, when Trump officially opened the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. Palm Beach had only agreed to Trump’s plan after placing “restrictions on the club, such as allowing no more than 500 members, to allay residents’ fears about traffic congestion and noise,” the Wall Street Journal’s Jacqueline Bueno reported in 1997. The restrictions placed on Mar-a-Lago stemmed from Trump’s outsider status, explained Palm Beach Society magazine’s publisher, James Sheeran. ... Then...
