FULL TITLE: Another Democratic debate, another warning about Republican talking points (e.g., paying for stuff)
Andrew Yang actually had a pretty good line at Wednesday nights debate when he noted that he was the opposite of Donald Trump: an Asian man who likes math.
It was a good line because it brought math right out on the table, which isnt a good sign for a stage full of Democrats who want the government to take over health care. Fortunately, they had Elizabeth Warrens line from the previous night as their pass out of math class: All of this talk about how to pay for universal health care is just Republican talking points.

The debates have turned into a Trump bashing.
Get out the crayolas and color me shocked.

“Trump is going to try to fool you with logic!”
The Democrat frontrunners should agree to give up their central podiums and go to the sidelines and have fewer questions to “level the playing field” for the low-polling candidates and close the “polling gap” among the candidates.
It is amusing but also maddening at the same time to listen to so many of the Democrats railing about how we need “Medicare for all” and list off a bunch of issues with the health care system they themselves voted for when they voted for Obamacare as they reason why we supposedly need to have a total government takeover of healthcare. Yes, corporations have increased their hold on the system - and you voted for that. But for you, many of these problems would not exist.
They were never going to be anything else.
Andrew Yang has a proposal to give every person a guaranteed income of $1000 a month.
This may seem “progressive” but a similar idea was proposed by Milton Friedman about 50 years ago. Friedman had several such proposals, including what he called a “negative income tax rate” where if you earned below some level (eg. poverty line) then you would receive a subsidy. Functionally, not extremely different - if you gave every adult $1000 a month, some would still earn their salaries/wages well above that limit and pay taxes on all of it, while those who did not earn enough would pay no taxes.
She profusely apologized later after the full videos surfaced, but unfortunately she was also one of those who lead out of the gate with the false narrative on the Covington Catholic kids without waiting for the actual facts to come out first.
Yeah, cause that's worked so well for CNN.
Nice....orrrrr......choppers.
Gravity and The Wall are beckoning.
Wow! ...never mind
Re: Milton Friedman’s “negative income tax”
Now known as the “Earned Income Tax Credit.”
Unfortunately, it has become the largest fraudulent source of cash in the USA for illegal immigrants and our indigenous criminal gangs.
That crap has been going on since alchemists told the king they could make gold out of lead. That crowd was replaced by snake-oil salesmen, and now replaced by people who tell the masses that hard work is not required to produce the results of hard work.
Nice....orrrrr......choppers.
I would be happy to help her with that tie. Yep.
She does have a nice smile, doesn’t she?
