Eleven brothers from an Alabama farming family have a whopping 158 years of combined military service between them with four of them even fighting alongside each other in the Vietnam War.
Seven of the 11 Davis brothers recently got together in mid-July at a hotel and casino in Mississippi for a reunion thick with brotherly love and military pride.
Lebronze, 70; Augusta, 67; Octavious, 80; Frederick, 68; Julius, 73; Eddie, 89; Nathaniel, 75, all attended the reunion.
Three of their brothers - Ben Jr., 72; Calvin, 71; and Alphonza - were unable to attend and one of their siblings, Washington, passed away in 2017.
Their military service stretches over the Navy, Army and Air Force.

(standing erect). I make a full, sincere, and profound salute to these incredible Americans.
From the article, read it.
Augusta is weary of “thank you for your service,” He would much rather hear, “thank you for helping to keep this country free.
These gentlemen deserve our honor.
To the brothers:
Thank you for your service.
Bless them all, and thank you guys for helping to keep this nation free.
To the Davis family:
Thank you for helping to keep this country free!!!!!
And why do we have to read this in a British paper?
This should be in every American newspaper.
God bless these men. Thank god southern men are as patriotic as they are.
Thank you for helping to keep this nation free.
ATTEN-HUT!!!!! HAND SALUTE!!!!!! TWO!!!!
Augusta says he has grown weary of the overused phrase, 'thank you for your service.'
"I would much rather hear them say, 'Thank you for helping to keep this country free.'"
These men have brought honor to both themselves and the country they have so nobly served. May G— grant them many years!
Thank you, Davis Band of Brothers!
The AP originally reported on the brothers today. It’s been widely picked up. https://apnews.com/4ef87c69e79c486893f37ca5aa56e08b
So the reporters that developed and wrote the story work for AP, Then the Daily Mail published it?
Thanks.
WOW!,, What a story! God bless!
Thank you for keeping us free, men. God Bless.
The Wilhelm family of Illinois has the record of most siblings serving in the military. 14 brothers. My wife’s uncle was one of them.
First thread I’ve ever seen where the very first comment was deleted.
