NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Kenya’s High Court on Friday upheld sections of the penal code that criminalize same-sex relations, a disappointment for gay rights activists across Africa where dozens of countries have similar laws. The judges’ unanimous ruling in the closely watched case was followed by activists’ vows to appeal. Many in Kenya’s vibrant gay community had hoped the court would make history by scrapping the British colonial-era laws and inspiring other countries in Africa to do the same.

Oregon authorities are seeking a would-be thief who was armed with a hatchet when he tried to rob a convenience store, only to flee when the clerk drew a gun and called 911. However, the clerk's quick thinking cost him his job, with the president of Plaid Pantry in Oak Grove explaining to local station KOIN-TV that the chain has a zero-tolerance policy for weapons. He said employees are trained to de-escalate robbery situations to avoid injury, according to the station. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office on Friday released surveillance video of the incident which took place April 28 at the store, seeking tips in identifying the...

It’s no wonder that voodoo is no longer being used as a smokescreen. In 2017, when the tax reform package was being hashed out, the Democrats were disparaging the legislation, calling it, “tax cuts for the rich” or “trickled down economics” and of course, “voodoo economics.” Those talking points have vanished faster than the media hype over Beto O'Rockstar and his skateboard. Perhaps these characterizations are no longer in most Democrat’s lexicons because it would remind voters just how wrong they were. With the economy booming, the last thing the left wants is for Republicans to point out that...

The weasels of leftism are close to exhausting their weaponization abilities. The recent political weaponization of the banking industry (i.e., using financial records against the opposing politician — President Trump) falls in line with all the previous weaponization attempts. However, pretty soon, they will run out of things to weaponize. There are numerous examples of the political weaponization of all facets of human life, including private life. At the beginning of the 20th century, the vagina became the weapon of choice for many left-wing feminists. It was used initially for the genocide of blacks because one of the Left's icons,...

The German government’s anti-Semitism commissioner has warned Jews not to wear kippahs in public spaces, saying he had changed his mind on the matter due to a recent rise anti-Semitic crimes in the country. “I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend that Jews wear the kippah everywhere in Germany,” Felix Klein said in comments carried by Funke media group newspapers on Saturday. […] Klein said that 90 percent of people who commit anti-Semitic crimes in Germany were right-wing extremists, while a much smaller number are Muslims “who watch Arabic television channels that convey a terrible image of Israel...

Conservative member of Parliament Boris Johnson, who campaigned to leave the EU., is the clear favorite to replace May among bookmakers and party members, though he faces several challenges. Trump described Johnson, a former mayor of London, as a friend during his visit to the U.K. in 2018. The U.S. president also said Johnson would make a good prime minister, comments that irritated May at the time and for which he apologized. The delayed Brexit process and the widespread hatred of May’s deal triggered a surge in support for the populist leader Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party, which is set to...

Police are looking to charge more than 1,100 people who were arrested during last month’s “Extinction Rebellion” climate protests, a senior officer has said. During the protests, activists laid down in the middle of busy public roads, glued themselves to the walls of financial institutions such as the London Stock Exchange, and even attempted to disrupt flights from Heathrow airport.

As President Trump ordered the intelligence community and others to fully cooperate with DOJ Attorney General William Barr in his investigation into the FBI’s probe of the 2016 presidential election, a key piece of evidence may reside in the early unmasking of Americans private communications, according to Sara Carter. Carter pointed this out in her appearance Thursday night on Hannity, with guest host Dan Bongino. Carter noted former UN Ambassador Samantha Power who unmasked nearly 300 people. These names will surprise Americans if they were to be made public, according to Carter. Earlier, Carter reported on this news site...

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law Thursday a measure outlawing the sale or possession of child-like sex dolls that lawmakers argue promote sexual urges among pedophiles. However, some groups have argued just the opposite, saying those dolls can help prevent pedophiles from acting on those urges with actual children. The legislation (SB 160) was sponsored by Sen. Lauren Book and was unanimously approved by both houses of the Legislature. Rep. Michael Gottlieb filed a companion measure in the House (HB 1107). “A person may not knowingly sell, lend, give away, distribute, transmit, show, or transmute … an obscene, child-like sex...

Britain's Prince Harry will join Queen Elizabeth II at a private lunch with Donald Trump and his wife Melania next month, CNN has learned. The lunch takes place on the first day of the US President's state visit to the UK. Prince Harry's wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is not expected to attend. She has not resumed public engagements since the birth of their son Archie Harrison. Historically, Harry has only participated in the state visit by Spain's monarch, where he accompanied the Spanish delegation to Westminster Abbey. CNN's royal source says that going forward, they hope to see...

LONDON — Only one person, the joke doing the rounds in Parliament goes, can stop the disheveled, blond-haired, crowd-pleasing former foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, from becoming the country’s next prime minister. That is Mr. Johnson himself. One of Britain’s most recognizable, and now most divisive politicians, Mr. Johnson has a history of verbal gaffes, a poor record as a minister and many enemies in Parliament, not to mention among the voters who reject Brexit, which he helped persuade Britons to embrace in a 2016 referendum. But his charisma, flair for publicity and record of winning two elections as mayor of...

President Trump’s scorched-earth offensive against congressional Democrats this week is a clear sign he sees his path to reelection as being paved through battles with his opponents more than collaboration. The president’s decisions to walk out of a White House meeting on infrastructure and to belittle and poke Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) with personal attacks are likely to excite Trump supporters who like nothing more than his confrontations with the establishment. “Donald Trump is a fighter, there’s no ambiguity about that, and he’s going to fight for what he believes in,” said Bryan Lanza, a former Trump campaign and transition...

In December 2015 a report surfaced that Barack Obama intercepted communications between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US lawmakers. The Obama White House targeted Netanyahu because he opposed their insane nuclear deal with the Iranian regime. Obama later ordered Secretary of State John Kerry and UN Ambassador Samantha Power to snub Netanyahu at the UN. The Obama administration spent $350,000 trying to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office. In May 2011 Barack Obama urged Israel to hand over half of Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall, The Temple Mount, Old Jerusalem, and the tomb of Jesus Christ to the...

Joy Reid billed Rick Wilson as a Republican "media strategist." A more apt term might be "sadist," or perhaps "ghoul." Wilson appeared on Reid's MSNBC show this morning to discuss the possible impeachment of President Trump. He began by analogizing Trump to the homicidal OJ Simpson, warning that Simpson "got away with it." Wilson urged Dems to adopt a go-slow approach to impeachment. Three times, he advised them to up the Trump admin "body count," while encouraging Dems to inflict a "death of 1,000 cuts," and to "raise the pain level."Get the rest of the story and view the video...

Francis Approves Missal Containing Serious Mistakes Pope Francis allowed the publication of a new “translation” of the Italian Missal, Perugia Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti informed the general assembly of the Italian Bishops on May 20. Among its major falsifications is a phantasy-translation of the Our Father. Instead of “do not lead us into temptation” the Italian Francis Church will say “don’t abandon us to temptation.” Another falsehood is introduced into the Gloria. “On earth peace to people of good will” will be replaced in the Francis-Church by “on earth peace to the people, loved by God.” The correction of the words...

FULL TITLE: Why Hollywood Is Weaponizing Nostalgia Against Trump—from 'Laugh-In' to "All in the Family' to 'The Jeffersons' "Laugh-In" first hit the small screen more than 50 years ago. "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons" debuted in 1971 and 1975, respectively. And now all three are back. Netflix recently rolled out "Still Laugh-In: The Stars Celebrate." The reunion special, featuring original cast members like Ruth Buzzi and Lily Tomlin, recreated classic bits from the show. The original "Laugh-In" leaned to the left, but it brokered comedy bits with a wink, a smile and a bikini. The reunion special trashed...

Theologian responds to criticisms of letter to bishops concerning heresies of Pope Francis May 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — In the recent “Open letter to the bishops of the Catholic Church,” a number of Catholics accused Pope Francis of the canonical delict of heresy and asked the bishops to take action to address this situation. The letter has not surprisingly been the target of a number of criticisms. These criticisms are not always easy for the general Catholic reader to assess, because the document is long, precisely rather than accessibly formulated, and sometimes technical in its language. These features of the...

CNN’s Anderson Cooper had some tough questions for Facebook’s Head of Global Policy Management Monika Bickert in an an interview that aired on Friday night, at one point telling her if the social media giant is going to be in the news business “you’ve got to do it right.” Cooper started off the video by pointing out that a doctored video of Nancy Pelosi appearing to be drunk has been spread over a million times on the social media site even though Facebook is aware it is a fake. “They’re not even commenting on it,” he said, before introducing Bickert,...

resident Donald Trump cheered on Attorney General Bill Barr’s investigation of intelligence officials’ spying on his campaign and detailed his decision to declassify the information in the case. While speaking to reporters as he left the White House for his trip to Japan on Friday, Trump said Barr will be in charge of the information from various agencies, which he ordered declassified on Thursday night. “They’ll be able to see how this hoax, how this witch hunt started, why it started. It was an attempted coup or an attempted takedown of the President of the United States,” he said. He...
