People who abuse animals are sick and dangerous to rest of society. Something is very wrong with the mental and moral wiring. When the abuse involves sex and is such violent sexual assault that death results, the dangers are acute. Now, consider what the sanctuary state policy in Oregon has released into society, even though the perp is not legally entitled to be in this country, free to express his sick urges again, next time possibly with a human victim. John Binder reports at Breitbart: As Breitbart News reported, illegal alien Fidel Lopez, 52-years-old, was convicted last month and sentenced to 60 days in...

In 2013, I commissioned and published an apology to a writer who I felt had been mistreated in the pages of COMMENTARY—and by my father, no less! “How This Magazine Wronged Herman Wouk” was the name of the article by Michael J. Lewis, and the occasion for it was the fact that the then-97-year-old Wouk had just published a new novel called The Lawgiver—a comic epistolary novel, no less, concerning the making of a movie about the life of Moses in which Wouk himself appears as a character. As Lewis wrote, “Wouk adapts the form to the modern world of...

Like many immigrants, I came to the United States through legal means to obtain an undergraduate degree in engineering. I have been paying taxes ever since, from school jobs to internships to post-grad jobs. In fact, the United States was the first country to ever grant me work authorization, something I believed to be a privilege considering I was on a temporary student visa. Everything was going well for me until I decided to leave Islam. Coming from a community that is virtually 100 percent Muslim, I knew I could never go back to my home country afterward. My decision...

The Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace was humiliated Sunday as he allowed Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) to walk all over him with insults and lies. During Sunday’s New Hampshire town hall, Mean Little Mayor Pete trashed Wallace’s Fox News colleagues — two of the network’s biggest stars (Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham ) directly to Wallace’s face and Wallace said nothing in their defense: ... Honestly, this is the first time I have ever witnessed something like this… In all my years of watching the media, never before have I seen a purported news anchor remain silent as one of his...

It’s been more than 10 years since “The Split,” and it’s still as riveting today as it was when Jason Lezak swam the greatest come-from-behind, never-say-die relay leg in history at the Olympic Games Beijing 2008. Coaches use it as a motivational tool, showing it to young swimmers before a big competition. After all, it’s 46.06 seconds of pure inspiration.
