SACRAMENTO (AP) — The Trump administration cancelled nearly $1 billion in federal money for California’s high-speed rail project Thursday, further throwing into question the future of the ambitious plan to connect Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Federal Railroad Administration’s announcement it would not give California the money came several months after sniping between President Donald Trump and Gov. Gavin Newsom over the project. The administration will still try to force California to return another $2.5 billion that has already been spent. Trump had seized on Newsom’s remarks in February that the project as planned would cost too much and...

KISS lead singer Gene Simmons visited the Pentagon Thursday for a very different mission from entertaining fans since the 1970s in a band famous for wild pyrotechnic displays on stage. Instead, Simmons spoke emotionally about what the country means to him. “I’m a proud son of a concentration camp survivor of Nazi Germany. My mother was 14 when she was in the camps,” he said. She died recently at the age of 93.

Source: Screenshot courtesy of Created Equal We all know the Left is unhinged. When it comes to abortion, it’s jacked up to steroid levels. It’s only going to be exacerbated with the recent anti-abortion bills passed in Georgia and Alabama. The debates will and have been intense. They always are, but we’ve seen a recent spate of violence from the progressive Left on this issue. Pro-lifers have been assaulted and harassed for their advocacy. On the latter example, PA State Rep Brian Sims , a Democrat, decided to show that he was a big tough guy in support of...

Texas high school students caused some controversy this week after photos of their spirit week event, "thug day," went viral on social media. Approximately 30 students who attend the Memorial High School in Houston arrived at school on Tuesday wearing oversized jerseys, chains, fake tattoos and cornrows, according to KHOU11. School officials have released a statement, in which they claim the theme was to wear sports jerseys and that the "inappropriate dress and body/hair decorations" were an "alternative, unapproved response." But students claim that the "thug day" theme has been happening for years. "Memorial High School's 'thug' day for rising...

Shortened title. Full title: Nude Emily Ratajkowski: States with ‘Highest Proportions of Black Women’ Using Abortion to Protect ‘Prison Industrial Complex’ Posting a nude photo of herself to Twitter on Thursday, actress and left-wing activist Emily Ratajkowski said the states enforcing abortion restrictions are disproportionately hurting black women in order to “perpetuate the industrial prison complex.” “This week, 25 old white men voted to ban abortion in Alabama even in cases of incest and rape. These men in power are imposing their wills onto the bodies of women in order to uphold the patriarchy and perpetuate the industrial prison complex...

Liberal women call conservative women names.....stupid, uneducated, beauty but dumb, unaware of "white privilege"? Are they jealous that they look like Rachel Maddow, Elizabeth Warren (sorry I don't want to be mean) instead of the attractive conservative women we see (Kate Upton, etc.) Conservative women don't brag about abortions, etc. like liberal women do. Do you think that is why they are so jealous, angry?

The events in the above headline are not unrelated. Once the literally “no news” two-year news cycle of Trump-Russia collusion ended with the thump of the Mueller report finding no collusion and not recommending any obstruction of justice charges, it turns out Americans are OK with President Trump. More than OK. The Zogby Poll has Trump’s job approval at 51%, 3 points above Obama’s in the same poll at the same point in his first term. Again, it cannot be said enough, this is after two years of media hyperventilating over something that did not happen. Maybe more interesting: A...

RUSH: Well, just as I told you they were gonna do, they have started doing it. The Democrats have now begun their reading of the sacred text. The Democrats are now reading the Mueller report. Ha! There’s a special hearing in the House where they are actually reading the Mueller report. They began by reading the claim from the Mueller report that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election in sweeping form. So is that why Hillary won the popular vote by three million votes, that the Russians had something to do with that? Did the Democrats ever stop to...

A pregnant woman living as a transgender male arrived to a hospital with severe abdominal pains and nurses didn’t immediately consider it an emergency because she appeared to be an obese man who stopped taking blood pressure medication. Healthcare professionals at the hospital didn’t even think this individual may be a pregnant woman because she was listed as a male in her medical records. Women in their child-bearing years showing up to the hospital with these same symptoms are immediately taken in and examined just in case there are pregnancy-related complications, but since nurses thought this patient was a male,...

RUSH: It gets even better than that, because (just as I told you yesterday) James Comey… (laughing) James Comey and Brennan are continuing their feud, or what is shaping up to be a feud, as they now disagree about what the other did and said. “James Comey says that in 2006 John Brennan, Obama’s CIA director, insisted on including the dossier in their intelligence community assessment.” But Brennan says, “No, no, no, no, no. Comey wanted to use the dossier.” They know the truth is coming, and now they’re all throwing each other under the bus. And a comment made...

The College Board plans to introduce an “adversity score” that will accompany an applicant’s SAT score in order to give college-admissions officers greater insight into how the applicant’s social and economic privilege may have contributed to their academic performance. The adversity score, which will be made available to colleges but not the students themselves, will reflect 15 different factors including the crime rate and average income level in a student’s neighborhood, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The new metric is currently being used by 50 colleges and will likely expand to 150 schools this fall. “There are a number...
