We investigated a very serious allegation that Americans might be hooked up with the Russian effort to attack our democracy. The Republicans need to breathe into a paper bag.

Eight European countries have called for an ambitious strategy to tackle climate change – and to spend a quarter of the entire EU budget on fighting it. The joint statement says the EU should have net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 "at the latest". It was signed by France, Belgium, Denmark, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. The group says their plan can "go hand in hand with prosperity" and "set an example for other countries to follow." But not everyone is on board - there are 28 countries in the EU, and several of those absent from the joint...

The Trump years so far have been hard on all of us. An unending tsunami of bad news has resulted in many left-of-center types casting about for the answer to this seemingly never-ending political nightmare. One place where this desperation is most acutely felt is in the self-styled "Resistance," a collection of liberal activists typically from the Obama and Clinton coalitions who have banded together to push back against the Trump agenda, mostly on Twitter. But in that collection of people are a number of desperate individuals who only want the Trump administration to end so they can seize power....

UK: ‘Chilling’ footage shows London Bridge jihadist wiping knife on his beard after slaughtering eight people One of the London bridge jihadist attackers, Khuram Butt, “washed his knife and wiped it on his beard in a ‘chilling gesture’ after killing eight people at London Bridge and Borough Market, an inquest has heard.” The beard is an important symbol of honor to Allah for Salafists, so it would follow that Khuram Butt’s “chilling gesture” was intended as a form of worship as he murdered innocents in the name of Islam. Screaming “Allahu Akbar is another expression of reverence which the London...

Jews ‘putting more gas in fizzy cola’ for Ramadan “A man speaking in Urdu talks about the importance of not having fizzy drinks to open your fast. He goes on to say cold and fizzy drinks can have a negative effect on your long-term health and could even cause death. But then a link is made to the fact that many of the major fizzy drinks companies are owned and run by Jews.” This must be one of the most ridiculous claims yet. It is total madness for them to think that if “the Jews” could do this, that they...

What's the difference between the $2 trillion "infrastructure" plan that Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and President Donald Trump have reportedly agreed to and then-President Barack Obama's so-called economic "stimulus"? Apart from the fact that the Schumer-Trump proposal is double the Obama price tag, the answer is: very little. Economist Milton Friedman famously said there are four ways to spend money, from the most efficient to the least. The most efficient way is to spend your own money on yourself. That way, the money is spent exactly the way you choose and on exactly what you want. The second, less...

WASHINGTON—The U.S. government has developed a specially designed, secret missile for pinpoint airstrikes that kill terrorist leaders with no explosion, drastically reducing damage and minimizing the chances of civilian casualties, multiple current and former U.S. officials said. Both the Central Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon have used the weapon while closely guarding its existence. A modified version of the well-known Hellfire missile, the weapon carries an inert warhead. Instead of exploding, it is designed to plunge more than 100 pounds of metal through the tops of cars and buildings to kill its target without harming individuals and property close by....
