There is no reason for Pastor Dave to have any more confidence in the origins and authorship of the Bible than this guy has in the origins of the Koran.

In truth, there has been more written on the Bible than on the Koran.

If you want to study Islam & its origins, Here is a start.

https://www.amazon.com/Which-Koran-Variants-Manuscripts-Linguistics/dp/1591024293/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=ibn+warraq&qid=1557407619&s=gateway&sr=8-5

basically anything by Ibn Waraq is worth reading.

His books are very academic which means dense but wel-sourced material.

The Bible is about 5400 years old about a people that date much earlier. The other book can not be over 1400 years old form 130 tribes of people with different religions.

Satan parodies God. It is all he can do or will ever do (until he is thrown into the lake of fire).

Multitudes prefer the parody.

Might enlighten. The New Testament has a very accurate and copious history compared to most ancient tomes. For a reason one may suppose.

The Old Testament has a wealth of originals dating well into the 4th-6th century BC as well; seems the Hebrews kept pretty good control of the documents and its consistency/veracity, again, for a reason.

I’ve read that caliph Ottman or Uttman called in all the original korans, had them RE-WRITTEN to suit his desires, then had the new ones distributed. Anyone with an old one was under pain of death.

You must obviously be a scholar of the almost highest caliber to make such an uniformed statement as you just made. You have a right to say what you want but I must inform you your ignorance is showing.

I am not interested in your making some cockamamie response that includes providing you with evidence. You have not bothered to to support your claim because there is none. You only wish to be divisive while thinking you sound smart at the same time.

Sorry, I won’t be playing your game. If you knew how to do any research at all I wouldn’t be writing this response in the first and or last place.

So go ahead and try to goad me if you want, I won’t be responding to any of it because it just isn’t worth my time.

How can the New Testament be 5400 years old ????

I did not say it was. If we say this country is 235 years old but states were added recently does that mean that the country is no longer 235 years old? If congress passes a law today does that mean that the country is less than a day old?

The Old Testament has a wealth of originals dating well into the 4th-6th century BC

We absolutely DO NOT multiple original OT texts that old. Not even close. The oldest thing we have is a blessing scratched out in Paleo Hebrew. The Biblical Hebrew language did not even develop until the 2nd Century BCE. The oldest OT texts we have are no older than 150 BCE, and those are fragments that were discovered in 1947. Before '47 the oldest OT texts we had were Greek copies of the Septuagint from the 4th Century CE.

The Old Testament is generally set to 4th Century to 6th Century BC (a lot of this has to do language development in that region).

The New Testament comes up originally in Greek around the end of the 1st Century AD. It probably should be noted that the writers of the New Testament didn’t really ask permission to attach the document onto the Old Testament, which probably explains some of the reasons why it ended up in Greek language originally.

The English version of the Bible doesn’t occur till after 1525 (requiring the efforts of Martin Luther and various opponents of the Catholic Church).

On the Quran, it comes up around 644-656 AD period, as it was finally written out from a number of collections. It probably should be pointed out that within a hundred years....all copies were pulled back (deleted) and an edited version of the Quran was established.
