How would Adam Schiff know? Robert Mueller may soon bring his special-counsel probe to a close, and it appears that the end will come without Donald Trump getting interrogated in person — either in a deposition or in a grand-jury proceeding. The House Intelligence Committee chair told Chuck Todd on yesterday’s Meet the Press that Mueller’s making a mistake in letting Trump off the hook with only written responses: CHUCK TODD:You know, it looks like, we don’t know this for sure. But it looks like Robert Mueller’s going to complete his investigation without subpoenaing the president before the grand...

We’re still waiting for a definitive cause for the loss of two Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in the past five months, including the latest one in Ethiopia. The problem is that such investigations tend to be extremely thorough, involving the retrieval and reconstruction of much of the plane. That can take a very long time, and it’s a job worth doing in the long-term interest of safety. But what should the various airlines around the world (including in the United States) do about it in the meantime? It’s a question that has industry experts and many passengers quite...

Political figures who support the so-called Green New Deal and other proposals to restrict carbon dioxide emissions are up against some “inconvenient facts” that Americans may access immediately through a smartphone application, a geologist and author says. But there’s one big problem. The app, called Inconvenient Facts, is available only to Android users through the Google Play Store. Since March 4, users of Apple’s iPhone no longer can access the app through the tech giant’s App Store. Gregory Wrightstone, a geologist with more than three decades of experience, told The Daily Signal in an interview that he has his own...

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- Many people have a difficult time changing their minds once they have formulated an opinion, especially once they have committed to the opinion on the record. I am happy to say fellow writer Wes Siler is of better material than that. In a June 2017 article, Wes was of the opinion that firearms, all firearms, were worthless as a defense against bears. He opined that statistically speaking, a person, when attacked by a bear, was as well off without a firearm as with one. He depended on research which had some problems with selection bias. Wes, quite generously,...

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Monday that President Donald Trump could lose the 2020 presidential election if his “personality” is the central focus of his campaign. “The person who defines that race is going to win the race. If this is about Donald Trump and his personality, he isn’t going to win it,” Ryan said during a lecture in Vero Beach, Florida, according to TCPalm.com. The former speaker said President Trump should focus on issues of substance, rather than not style, if he wants to beat his Democrat presidential rival next year. Potential Democrat presidential contenders include Sens....

Prior to the 2018 midterm elections, a movement among blacks to “exit” the Democratic Party — nicknamed “Blexit” — began as more and more began to realize that the Donkey Party had not done anything for them except foment misery and poverty while perpetuating dependence on big government. “Blexit is a Renaissance,” movement champion Candace Owens said in an interview with Fox News in late October. “Blexit is the black exit from the Democratic Party. It’s the black exit from permanent victimhood, the black exit from the false idea that we are somehow separate from the rest of America.” The...

Meatless Mondays matter: In praise of New York City schools overhauling their menus once a week By Jessica Scott-Reid Mar 12, 2019 | 10:25 AM Building on a major expansion this past fall, Mayor de Blasio just announced that Meatless Mondays will be in public schools across the nation’s largest city starting next academic year.
