Four years ago, I wrote about my decision to live as a woman in The New York Times, writing that I had wanted to live “authentically as the woman that I have always been,” and had “effectively traded my white male privilege to become one of America’s most hated minorities.” Three years ago, I decided that I was neither male nor female, but nonbinary—and made headlines after an Oregon judge agreed to let me identify as a third sex, not male or female. Now, I want to live again as the man that I am. I’m one of the lucky...

Fox News in a statement on Sunday condemned host Jeanine Pirro’s controversial comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) Pirro set off a wave of backlash after the comments on her Saturday night show “Justice with Judge Jeanine” that appeared to suggest Omar is loyal to Sharia law because she wears a hijab. “We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,” Fox News said. “They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.” Pirro in her own statement also pushed back on the criticism and attempted to clarify her comments. “I’ve...

Venezuelans are defenseless Unlike the US Constitution, which has a Second Amendment guaranteeing the right to bear arms and form a militia if the government exceeds its powers, in 2008, Hugo Chavez made sure that there would never be an uprising and stripped Venezuelans citizens of their weapons, even in their homes, through legislation approved in 2007.

Finland has long been touted by American socialists as the socialist Nirvana, where everything is free and everyone is happy, happy, happy. Sadly, fiscal reality hit Finland’s government as it collapsed Friday due to the rising costs of its universal health care. The warning signs were on the wall last spring when Finland, as Leslie noted, ended its experiment with “universal basic income.” Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who has been hanging his socialist mantle on the “success” of Finland’s socialist structure, may be the hardest hit. The Washington Free Beacon reports: "The government of Finland collapsed Friday due to the rising cost of universal health...

Nearly a half century ago, President Richard Nixon's supporters felt the country needed a pep rally on the Fourth of July. But their plans took a turn for the worse when anti-war marijuana activists — some missing their clothes — entered the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and approached the stage. Waving North Vietnam and cannabis-leaf flags, the group countered the speeches and music of “Honor America Day” with their own “Honor America Day Smoke-in," shoving vehicles into the water, chanting slogans, and stealing the show. “The entire crowd hopped into the pool and walked past the police,” recalls Dana Beal,...

Isn't making a smoking section in a restaurant like making a peeing section in a swimming pool? (My sentiments exactly!) 3. OK ... so if the Jacksonville Jaguars are known as the 'Jags' and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are known as the 'Bucs,' what does that make the Tennessee Titans? 4. Washington governor and 2020 candidate Jay Inslee (D.) said on Sunday he thinks he has humility about being a straight white male, saying he recognizes the advantages he's received as a result of that identity. "Our new CNN/Des Moines Register poll shows only 38 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers in Iowa say they would be satisfied with a straight white male nominee," CNN anchor Jake Tapper said. "So why are you as a straight white male the right person to lead the Democratic party if there's so much skepticism from Democrats in Iowa?"

Last month, at John Jay College in New York City, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the state’s new “red flag” gun law, which will make it easier for officials to confiscate guns from people deemed an “extreme risk” to themselves or others. Joining Cuomo was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who described the law as imperative to “the survival of our children.” Cuomo said that when it comes to gun violence, “something has to be done because we are literally losing human life.” Cuomo and Pelosi invoked mass shootings to explain why the red-flag law is necessary. But mass shootings on the...

Authorities in Missouri say a woman fatally shot her boyfriend at a home in Fulton on Thursday. According to Fox News, 37-year-old Kalesha Peterson later told police that she used a .38-caliber handgun while attempting to reenact a movie scene with 36-year-old David Dalton. She said the two had been drinking and she did not intend to actually shoot the victim, according to a statement from the Fulton Police Department. A medical examiner’s report indicated the victim died from a single gunshot wound to the head and police say they found two spent shell casings at the scene. “Peterson advised...

Democrat extremism renders the party incapable of denouncing Jew-hate. n the wake of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic slurs, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attempted to pass a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. But something went very awry. Congresswoman Omar, Democrat from Minnesota, was born in Somalia and is one of the first two Muslim women to enter Congress. In recent weeks, she has unleashed a litany of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic comments including “Israel has hypnotized the world. May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel” (during an Israeli attack against terror organization Hamas in Gaza); “It’s all...

Welcome to JEXODUS. On Saturday, Roger L. Simon lamented at PJ Media that anti-Semitism is once again becoming respectable – or at least acceptable – across the Western world, and that this time around the Jew-haters are predominantly Muslims and leftists. Among the more prominent new standard bearers of this old hatred, noted Simon, are our two recently elected Muslim congresswomen, who, he quite reasonably surmised, “were likely inculcated at an early age, as were too many Muslim children, with the belief that Jews only (pace Darwin) were the descendants of pigs and apes and should be wiped from the...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) The great media retrenchment begins. – So, what if, as the rampant speculation around Washington and facts of the matter indicate, Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller finds there was no collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia? ABC’s Terry Moran had this to say on his network’s “This Week” program yesterday: “That’s a reckoning for progressives and Democrats who hoped that Mueller would essentially erase the 2016 election. It’s a reckoning for the media. It’s a reckoning around the country if in fact after all this time there was no...
