Venezuelans are defenseless
Unlike the US Constitution, which has a Second Amendment guaranteeing the right to bear arms and form a militia if the government exceeds its powers, in 2008, Hugo Chavez made sure that there would never be an uprising and stripped Venezuelans citizens of their weapons, even in their homes, through legislation approved in 2007.

Sorry for all of the good people there. Anyone know if the power is still out in almost the entire country?
Ship Bolshevik Bernie and Always On Crack down there to save them...and stay there.

I hope all of the socialist/communists there are sent straight to hell. This need to be brought up everywhere AOC or Bernie speaks.
And once again we have to get real news from European sources as the actual story doesn’t fit our MSM’s agenda.
Socialism kills.
Always.
See my tag line.

Funny, we don’t see pilgrimages by celebs and other libfilth to Venezuela to trumpet the Bolivarian socialist “miracle” anymore.
Venezuels’s Green New Deal in action, LIVE!!
Should we send our H.S. kids there on a field trip to experience the green new deal in person?
Excellent analysis.
Worth reading.
More in depth than the usual Venezuelan article.
Where is Sean Penn?
Surely he can ride a private jet in to save the day for Socialim??
Venezuelas main power distribution hub, the San Geronimo B substation outside Valle de la Pascua supplies 80% of the countries power.
It is shut down and all the employees were sent home Friday. No point staying open as the Guri power plant that feeds it is shut down. The turbines have not been maintained and are all failed.
Several transformers burned up due to overload and have no replacement.
The military took over the national electrical system in 2013 and most of the qualified techs are gone.
Weeds, grass and trees have grown up around the distribution system, starting on fire and shorting out the lines.
This is a significant and long term problem for the country.
Let me guess. The qualified technicians were fired because they were not down with the struggle .
The same happened over a decade ago at PdVSA, where many engineers and technicians who did not drink the koolaid were deemed stupid. Now their facilities are trash. I knew and worked with some of those technicians.
Yes, and it may not be back anytime soon. Turbines may be damaged per NYT.

What are known as “Line Side” electricians are in high demand.....in Puerto Rico, etc. The Venezuelans tired of working for military, corrupt officers at low pay and left.
