Media Matters for America, the George Soros-funded progressive activist organization, is praising Trump’s National Security Adviser, H.R. McMaster, for terminating some members of President Donald Trump’s National Security Council, criticizing conservative media for questioning his loyalty to the president, and his decision to allow former NSA Susan Rice continued access to classified information.  “Media in support of President Donald Trump are calling for the ouster of Trump’s national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, accusing him of being a ‘globalist’ ‘traitor’ who is ‘aligned with the enemies of Trump and America,’ †Media Matters wrote on its website on Friday....

When Emily Maitlis of BBC Newsnight landed her first (and possibly as it transpired, her last) interview with the then-incoming Head of Communications for the White House, Anthony “the Mooch” Scaramucci, she could have had little idea beyond her briefing notes what to expect. What viewers actually saw and heard wasn’t just a bad omen of things to come, but an exercise in that peculiar blend of undisguised contempt and ferocious masculine-driven competition that has become a decisive marker of the violent underpinnings of Donald Trump and his administration. Women beware. Scaramucci rose to the occasion of having a well-trained...

KrisAnne Hall, strict-constructionist constitutional lawyer, educator, Tea Party activist, and author, was this month's guest on C-Span2's "In-Depth" this afternoon. The program, three hours long, will be repeated tonight at midnight EDT. She responds to questions and comments from the program moderator and from viewers on her life and works. The titles of several of her books - Bedtime Stories for Budding Patriots and Not a Living Breathing Document: Reclaiming the Constitution tells much about her philosophy and teaching. Equally interesting is the story of her life, going from her childhood in a Democrat household where "the only thing more...

Democrats won’t win back voters they view with contempt. Everyone knows that Republicans have political problems, from their failure to repeal Obamacare to President Trump’s erratic tweets to his sputtering efforts to make populism a governing philosophy. But what about Democrats? While their problems don’t get as much media attention, Democrats are now both the minority party and a toxic brand to much of middle-class America. Take last Friday, when Governor Jim Justice of West Virginia announced he was becoming a Republican. “The Democrats walked away from me,” he told a Trump rally in Huntington. “Today I tell you as...

[snip] Bottom line: The wall is no metaphor to Trump. He will accept no substitutes to a huge, long, physical wall, which he believes his voters viscerally want. He told GOP Hill leaders in June he wants it to be 40 to 50 feet high and covered with solar panels. Hill Republicans privately mocked that idea, but some of those same people now recognize that Trump's big, beautiful — and in their minds, ridiculous — wall could be the thing that brings the U.S. government to its knees.

On August 4, the American Center for Law and Justice obtained over 400 pages of documents related to Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s infamous tarmac meeting with Former President Bill Clinton last summer. When the original Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request was filed under the Obama Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had denied that any such records existed; now, approximately 413 pages of documents have been made available to the public. The ACLJ explains: "First, the Comey FBI lied to us. Last July, we sent FOIA requests to both the Comey FBI and the Lynch DOJ asking for any...

The Trump administration notified the United Nations Friday that the U.S. intends to officially withdraw from the Paris climate accord, the Department of State announced. Following the procedure laid out in the agreement, the United States will withdraw “as soon as it is eligible to do so.” The earliest the U.S. can begin officially withdrawing from the accord is Nov. 4, 2019, under the terms of the Paris agreement. The notice to the UN is largely ceremonial, and the earliest a full withdrawal can be finalized is November 2020, one year after official proceedings have begun, The Hill reports. President...

At least 13 people suffered minor injuries after a container ship near the Port of Long Beach leaked a chemical compound on Sunday morning, the United States Coast Guard said. The incident occurred around 9:27 a.m. and was first described as an unidentified substance leakage, in a tweet from the Long Beach Fire Department. The Department initially reported 11 injured dock workers, but later updated the number injured to 12. A firefighter was also injured due to a fall, the Coast Guard later said.

Marriage and baptism are not bourgeois rites of passage. We need to make them easierThere are plenty of things for which I thank God: good friends, the health of my children, the glorious tenth anniversary of Summorum Pontificum, the fact that the Detroit Tigers will not be trading their star pitcher Justin Verlander. Another is the fact that my wife and I were never made to attend a Catholic marriage preparation course. If we had been members of a parish where the mind-numbingly dull half-year of expensive weekend retreats had been required, we would have gone through with it, obviously. Offering...

Former President Barack Obama got a special treat for his birthday this year - his very own holiday. Governor Bruce Rauner signed into law Friday a measure to designate Aug. 4 as "Barack Obama Day" across Illinois. The newest state holiday will be celebrated each year on the 44th president's birthday, beginning in 2018. The holiday will be "observed throughout the State as a day set apart to honor the 44th President of the United States of America who began his career serving the People of Illinois in both the Illinois State Senate and the United States Senate, and dedicated...

On Friday, Michael Savage -- conservative talk show host and Berkeley Ph.D. in nutritional ethnomedicine -- referenced Nathaniel West's classic 1939 novel about the burning of Los Angeles, The Day of the Locust, to describe what will occur in the USA should Trump be brought down by his assorted "Globalist" enemies. People will “resort to mob violence” when they “are finally aware of the fact that they’ve been tricked by their society, and that no matter how hard they work as middle class people” they are denied.“That is what’s going to happen in this country,” Savage said. “You have not...

Legislation to set up gun safety courses at Wisconsin public high schools is being blasted as “inappropriate” by state Democrats. Other opponents of the bill—including Madison psychotherapist Laurie Asplund—suggest that a gun safety course will only feed a “gun culture” at the schools. According to Fox 6, Rep. Ken Skowronski (R-Dist. 82) is one of the sponsors of the bill that would create the safety courses. Skowronski argues that opponents of gun safety courses have things backward. He says trap and target shooting teams are already popular, and increasingly so. In light of this, the gun safety courses are a...

WASHINGTON – The Republican Party should have done more to shut down the birther movement that Donald Trump led, one GOP senator said Sunday. “I wish that we, as a party, would have stood up, for example, when the birtherism thing was going along,” Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “A lot of people did stand up but not enough.” Long before he was a presidential candidate, Trump led an effort to discredit President Obama by doubting he was a US citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii.

One week ago, Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Dean Heller, R-Nev., met with President Trump and top White House officials to discuss their plan to attain the 50 votes necessary in the Senate to replace the Affordable Care Act. Although the proposal isn't perfect, it could end up being the Senate's last chance to stop the seemingly inevitable Obamacare death spiral. Since January, Congress has repeatedly tried and failed to find a formula for healthcare success. At the heart of the debate has been the fundamental philosophical differences between the conservative wing of the Republican Party and...

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown suggested that the Republican foreign policy establishment may want to see President Donald Trump impeached after dining with two of its most prominent members. Last weekend, the legendary California Democrat wrote about a dinner invitation he received from former Secretary of State George Shultz and his wife Charlotte. In his San Francisco Chronicle column, Brown revealed that former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger attended the private dinner along with Michael Bloomberg, California Governor Jerry Brown (and his wife Anne), Tom Steyer, California gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newson (and his wife Jennifer), and San Francisco Mayor Ed...

So, instead of writing about substantial things like the fraud constituent assembly deciding it will be in office for the next two years, taking as its first "measure" the removal from office of the general prosecutor Luisa Ortega and announcing that next week they will set up the inquisition truth commission I have to discuss what was either a failed coup or a stunt show........ What happened this morning in Venezuela was suspicious from the start..... It is 1PM+, 5 hours later and it smells fishier, too convenient for the regime......

Aside from the make believe fake news scandals Democrats and their allies in the liberal press continue to push about Russia and President Trump, a real scandal involving cybersecurity issues has enveloped Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. Ms. Schultz is the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee and a long-time crony of Hillary Clinton, the two-time loser in her bid to become president. At the heart of the scandal is Imran Awan, 37, a Pakistani-born Muslim. Hired as an information technologist by Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., in 2004, he started working for Ms. Schultz in 2005. Spreading himself around,...
