I sent an e- mail yesterday after attending a Muslim presentation at a local church, open to the public. It was sponsored by local religious groups to get a better understanding of Islam. My friend who I sent the e- mail too, picked up on the idea that it might be part of a nationwide effort by Muslim apologists to numb the Infidel about the Islamic threat to us Kafirs , by portraying Islam as a religion of peace. MY friend asked my permission to alert Rush and Howie Carr about this. I said OK but don't get the church...

The velocity of money has declined to 1.49, the lowest level ever recorded. From 1960 to 1990, the velocity of money average between 1.7 and 1.9. It reached a peak of approximately 2.2 in 1997 and has, for the most part, plummeted since then.

Can't imagine why you weren't watching. When fossil fuel-phobic Al Gore sold his “Current TV” network to Al Jazeera, we noted the oil-based irony and mourned the passing of our favorite primetime lineup. After all, Current had been home to crackpots like Keith Olbermann and Dating Game contestants like Jennifer Granholm for the better part of ten years. That kind of crazy is hard to come by and we knew that we wouldn’t see anything quite like Current again. MSNBC does it’s best to fill the void, but it’s just not the same. Anyway, Al Jazeera America premiered a little...

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Twin Cities great-grandfather is getting a lot of attention for a video showing him shoveling his neighbor’s sidewalk. “I’ve always been active, always doing something,” St. Paul resident Richard Mann said. The 101-year-old has learned a thing or two about work ethic over his long life. After his father died when he was four, he took care of work around the house to help his single mom. Snow shoveling was one of his duties. “I was the only boy, and it was an automatic thing for me to more or less do ‘a man’s job,'” Mann...

Peace is achieved through strength, and a perception of strength. Obama has humiliated our allies, and has done all he can to show weakness to the enemy Shortly after President Obama, and other global appeasers, struck a deal with Iran over their nuclear ambitions, and literally hours before Obama’s State of the Union Speech, ten American U.S. Navy military personnel were taken hostage by the Iranians. The sailors were held on Iran’s Farsi Island, and then released after Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry slobbered all over themselves in apologies for the Americans daring to venture into Iranian waters...
  • Did the U.S. Just Pay the "Jizya Tax" to Iran? ~ Vanity

Caller to a Radio Show brought up a very fascinating point: From an article about Jizya: Ann Lambton states that the jizya was paid in humiliating conditions by every free male dhimmi of age. According to Cohen, the Quran itself does not prescribe humiliating treatment for the dhimmi when paying Jizya, but some later Muslims interpreted it to contain "an equivocal warrant for debasing the dhimmi (non-Muslim) through a degrading method of remission" The Sailors were Humiliated during the whole process of getting them back, and this sent a clear message to all the 57 Islamic States out there... Kinda...

By the end of the 19th century, it was commonly held that four European powers possessed great foreign services: the Habsburg Monarchy (known after 1867 as Austria-Hungary or the "Double Monarchy"), the Ottoman Empire, the Holy See, and Russia.Retrospectively, it appears that there was much truth about that opinion. Presently, we should take notice that these powers -- now treated by "progressive" discourse as expired, dusty tales no longer relevant to our modern conflicts -- are in fact pivotal instruments in world politics today.Agreed, we can preclude the Habsburg service, arguably the most prestigious of all four in 1914, which...

Chris and Meredith Goodrich heard the discontent brewing with FCAT, then Common Core, then the Florida Standards Assessment, before their two children ever started school at Littlewood Elementary.... ....Goodrich hopped a bus with other Alachua County parents, teachers, school staff members and school board members and returned to Tallahassee for a rally that brought close to 2,000 people to the steps of the Florida State Capitol. The Florida Education Association organized the event, dubbed "Enough is Enough."

The host of HBO's Real Time, which returns Friday, on why he's scared of Cruz, and the 'underage hookers' scandal that could sink Hillary Clinton's campaign. For the past month and change, there's been a void in the political commentary arena--and political incorrectness, in general. Yes, Bill Maher was on vacation. But the acerbic satirist seems recharged and ready to dive headfirst into election season--which he'll do by kicking off the return of his late-night series Real Time with Bill Maher with a big campaign of his own. You'll have to tune in to HBO Friday night to see exactly...

Remember the recent story about the burglar in Florida who was killed by an alligator? He was breaking into a house and the police came so he tried to escape by jumping into a lake. The gator got him. The most interesting part of the story concerns the burglar's girlfriend. You see, he called her to let her know what he was doing. He told her where he was and that he was breaking into a house to steal. How did she respond to his phone call? Did she say, "Baby, don't do this! Come home and find a job!"?...

Stan Eury turned an obscure bit of immigration law into a mammoth federal program -- and a lucrative business empire, importing hundreds of thousands of Mexican workers for legal American jobs. Except that some of the jobs weren't real jobs, and an untold number of those workers may never have returned to Mexico at all. In November 2009, seven men got off a bus in Monterrey, Mexico, and made their way through the crowded and chaotic downtown to the concrete box that housed the United States Consulate. Inside, the men told a consular officer that they had been invited to...

Whenever there is Islamic violence the media uses the word terror not jihad. The problem is that the jihad of murder is only one of the four jihads and it is the least of jihads. The jihad of murder will kill people, but the jihad of money, speech and writing brings us closer to Sharia. Sharia annihilates a civilization. ... The jihad of money has invaded our universities which reject critical thought about Islam in exchange for donations from the Saudis. The Islamisation of universities is far worse than murder. Another jihad that is killing us is found in religious...

Not so ready for Hillary. In 2008, Hillary Clinton saddled up for the Kentucky Derby on a thoroughbred that was a sure thing. Her campaign was the finest colt in Kentucky, at odds that barely made it worth betting on her. The race began, and she was up by a quarter mile. Then, as another jockey started to gain, she slipped out of her saddle. She was barely hanging on, bumping along against the dirt, bruised and struggling and still hanging in there a half-a-length back. And then she lost and grudgingly wished the victor luck in winning the Triple...

With a phone and a pen. That is the answer as to how President Obama can transfer Guantanamo detainees to prisons on the U.S. mainland despite the fact that Congress expressly prohibited this. However, kudos to Jake Tapper on The Lead today for questioning the legality of such a transfer during an interview with an equally skeptical CNN Pentagon Correspondent, Barbara Starr.

JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF ARE NOT CLEARLY DRINKING THE OBAMA KOOL-AID Over the past 7 years, our “not Muslim” president Barack Hussein Obama has systematically decimated all branches of the US military by purging out any and all leaders who did not want to go along with his vision of an LGBT-infused, pro-Muslim military. We have listed below a partial listing of the results of the purge. DEFINITION OF THE WORD CONTEMPT AS USED IN THIS ARTICLE: 1. THE FEELING OR ATTITUDE OF REGARDING SOMEONE OR SOMETHING AS INFERIOR, BASE, OR WORTHLESS; SCORN. 2. THE STATE OF BEING DESPISED OR...

Iranian officials stressed that they taught the U.S. a lesson by seizing 10 sailors from two boats in the Persian Gulf. The semi-official Fars News Agency reported Wednesday that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told Secretary of State John Kerry that the U.S. needed to apologize before the sailors were released. According to a statement from Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, "the Americans have extended an apology," Fars said.Zarif tweeted today: "Happy to see dialog and respect, not threats and impetuousness, swiftly resolved the #sailors episode. Let's learn from this latest example."Washington denies any "official" apology was offered. Iran broadcast a video...
