Meet The 101-Year-Old Snow Shoveler Who’s Going Viral

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Twin Cities great-grandfather is getting a lot of attention for a video showing him shoveling his neighbor’s sidewalk.

“I’ve always been active, always doing something,” St. Paul resident Richard Mann said.

The 101-year-old has learned a thing or two about work ethic over his long life. After his father died when he was four, he took care of work around the house to help his single mom. Snow shoveling was one of his duties.

“I was the only boy, and it was an automatic thing for me to more or less do ‘a man’s job,'” Mann said.

With all the noise by BLM MSP and the Vikings beating my Packers who in turn beat my Skins (that's REDSKINS) I read this story and somehow all those things went away. I would trade one man like this for all the gangbangers, BLM, Hillary Clintons, Bernie Sanders and Barack Obambis in the world. My favorite part: "When asked the key to a long life, it appeared that his sense of humor is also still going strong.

“Clean living, and wine, women and money [laughs],” Richard said. “I’ve had quite a life.”

Mann says he still plays golf whenever he gets the chance, and swears by bacon and eggs for breakfast every day." God Bless this Great American!

That’s really cool. A lady at church just turned 100 and acts like a spry 80. My Mom is 101 she still lives in her own apartment, but she is not going to be shoveling snow! Lol

That would be my grandmother, who had her fatal heart attack while shoveling snow, about six weeks before her 100th birthday.
