Here is video in two parts of Sean Hannity tonight talking with the undercover pair of conservatives - James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles - who posed as a "pimp" and a "prostitute" to go into ACORN Offices in both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. They got undercover video in both places of ACORN workers advising them on how to try and get away with illegal activity. As a result, ACORN has fired the workers, and the U.S. Census Bureau has announced today it has severed its relationship with ACORN. O'Keefe described ACORN as "Soulless." NOTE: The pair also hinted there may...

Thank you sooooo much to the fantastic people of New Jersey!! We just completed our last Tea Party Express rally before we hit Washington, D.C. and we were blown away. We arrived 1 1/2 hours late (due to atrocious traffic on the roads from Bridgeport, CT) and again faced a cold, windy, rain-soaked environment. But much to our excitement and dismay — we were greeted by a tremendous crowd of thousands of enthusiastic patriots. When we finally pulled up to the rally at the Town Hall square in Toms River, NJ the police were on hand to escort our big...

Facing fire from his own party over the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, President Obama is getting cover from an unlikely source: Republicans. Sen. John McCain of Arizona and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia are among a growing faction of congressional Republicans speaking up for the Democratic president as he faces questions of whether to escalate the U.S. troop presence in an increasingly bloody conflict. Mr. Cantor, who has helped lead the fight in the House GOP caucus against much of Mr. Obama's domestic agenda, voiced support Friday for Mr. Obama's willingness to carry the fight to the Taliban...

Seven people have been arrested by police at an an anti-Islam demonstration in London. Protestors had gathered on Friday afternoon to oppose the opening of the new Harrow Central Mosque on Station Road. The Stop Islamification of Europe group had pledged to hold a peaceful protest. The mood soured when a gang of at least 100 pro-Islamic demonstrators broke away from a main body to chase away a small number of the anti-Mosque marchers.

One year after the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the surprise is not how much has changed in the financial industry, but how little. Backstopped by huge federal guarantees, the biggest banks have restructured only around the edges. Employment in the industry has fallen just 8 percent since last September. Only a handful of big hedge funds have closed. Pay is already returning to precrash levels, topped by the 30,000 employees of Goldman Sachs, who are on track to earn an average of $700,000 this year. Nor are major pay cuts likely, according to a report last week from J.P. Morgan...

A NOAA-led research mission has located and identified the final resting place of the YP-389, a U.S. Navy patrol boat sunk approximately 20 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras, NC, by a German submarine during World War II. Six sailors died in the attack on June 19, 1942. There were 18 survivors. The wreck is located in about 300 feet of water in a region off North Carolina known as the “Graveyard of the Atlantic,” home to U.S. and British naval vessels, merchant ships, and German U-boats sunk during the Battle of the Atlantic. NOAA and its expedition partners...

WASHINGTON — The White House strengthened its stand against health care coverage for illegal immigrants Friday, and a pivotal Senate committee looked ready to follow its lead. ((snip)) Currently illegal immigrants are barred from government-funded care except in certain emergency cases, but many buy private insurance and there's nothing to prevent them from doing that. That would change under the White House's proposal, which is certain to alarm some on the left.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the largest nonprofit business group in the world, is seeking to have the facts of climate change put on trial -- to the delight of some of its members and the chagrin of others. The chamber petitioned the Environmental Protection Agency seeking proof of the agency's finding that climate change poses a public threat. In papers filed in federal court just two weeks ago, the chamber says "that a proceeding on the record is necessary to narrow the areas of scientific uncertainty, to permit a credible weighing of the scientific evidence, and to enable submitters...

by Amber Watson-Tardiff Friday September 11, 2009, 3:58 PM Just a week ago, Republicans all over the country were outraged that President Barack Obama would dare to indoctrinate their children by asking them to "work hard" and "stay in school" via national telecast. But the behavior of Joe Wilson (R- SC) during the President's health care speech on Wednesday night was far more detrimental to middle school and high school kids. It set an example of disrespect and selfishness to those who look up to Wilson as a role model and leader in this country. If you missed the outburst,...

Jose Obdilio Duran's '57 Chevy has holes in its mottled floor, a passenger window that can't be rolled up and no inside panels on its doors. But the 71-year-old retiree wants to put the old car to work — applying for one of the first taxi licenses this communist country has granted in a decade. About 60 would-be taxi drivers lined up early Friday at a Transport Ministry office in central Havana to fill out forms for permission to use their own cars as taxis — a rare dose of the free market on an island whose economy is dominated...

Obama Doesn't Want to Linger on Joe Wilson White House sources say Obama doesn't want to draw more attention to the incident By Kenneth T. Walsh Posted September 11, 2009 Don't expect President Obama to invite Rep. Joe Wilson to the White House for a few beers any time soon. That let's-be-friends technique is what the president used to create a "teachable moment" with the two antagonists in the infamous "arrest incident" in Cambridge, Mass., a few weeks ago. But Wilson is a different story. Wilson is the Republican from South Carolina who shouted that Obama was a "liar" during...

From Orly Taitz's blog: Tomorrow at 2pm hearing for Captain Connie Rhodes MD in GA September 10th, 2009 I just got word from Ms. Sweeden, clerk for District Court Judge for the Middle District of GA. We were granted an emergency hearing for Captain Connie Rhodes, MD, flight surgeon, who is scheduled to be shipped to Iraq day after tomorrow on September the 12th. Capt Rhodes states that she is willing to go to Iraq, as long as she knows that the orders going down the chain of command are lawful orders. We asked this case to be certified as...

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone poll finds that Republican challenger Rob Simmons leads Dodd 49% to 39% in an early look at next year’s potential match-up. Five percent (5%) say they’d prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are not sure. While Simmons, a former congressman, is the strongest early challenger to the Democratic incumbent, there are several other Republicans in the running. Dodd finds himself essentially even with state Senator Sam Caligiuri, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Tom Foley and Peter Schiff, the high-profile president of Euro Pacific Capital. In each of those match-ups, Dodd earns between...

U.S. Reps. Chris Carney and Paul E. Kanjorski lauded President Obama’s 45-minute address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night that detailed a blueprint for health care reform. But both said it’s a long road to go from words in a speech to words in bill. Carney said Obama’s foundation is solid and the congressman was “encouraged by what I heard.” But Carney will reserve making a commitment to support whatever bill comes up for a vote until he sees it. “Once again, let’s see how we get there . . . It’s got to do a lot of...

For many years, a handful of American political leaders -- including the late senator Ted Kennedy and now President Obama -- have been trying to gain passage of comprehensive health care for all Americans. As far back as President Harry S. Truman, they have urged Congress to act on this national need. In a presentation before a joint session of Congress last week, Obama offered his view of the best way forward. But what seems missing in the current battle is a single proposal that everyone can understand and that does not lend itself to demagoguery. If we want comprehensive...
