President Barack Obama has met at the White House with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates armed forces, the White House said. The two "discussed ways to deepen the strong political, security and economic relationship" between the United States and the UAE, as well as ways to "bolster regional security, and advance Israeli-Arab peace efforts," the White House said in a statement on Thursday.

Let's get the obvious out of the way. Congressman Joe Wilson should not have blurted out "liar" during President Obama's speech last night. It was rude, inappropriate, and a total break in protocol. In fact, Congressman Wilson has said as much and he apologized. The president accepted. That should be the end of it. Evidently, it is racist and hateful to portray President Obama as The Joker, but perfectly acceptable to portray Glenn Beck as the same fictional character.
