Found this one on YouTube in 2006. It is still one of my favorite tribute videos to the victims of the terrorists on September 11, 2001. I know as we get further and further away from that horrible day, people forget. We need to make ourselves remember--myself definitely included in that group.

PARENTS are being threatened with having their children taken into care after questioning doctors’ diagnoses or objecting to their medical care. John Hemming, a Liberal Democrat MP, who campaigns to stop injustices in the family court, said: “Very often care proceedings are used as retaliation by local authorities against ‘uppity’ people who question the system.” Cases are emerging across the UK: The mother of a 13-year-old girl who became partly paralysed after being given a cervical cancer vaccination says social workers have told her the child may be removed if she (the mother) continues to link her condition with the...

(A spiritual analogy of the horrific events of 9-11 and its parallels of the Day of the Lord) “9-11” will always be remembered as one of the most horrific and catastrophic events ever in U.S. history. It was almost beyond belief that such a series of horrific events actually happened in the United States of America. America was completely and totally caught off guard. No one, seemingly, could ever imagine that such a day could have taken place here on U.S. soil. The events that followed were beyond anyone’s conception. What transpired on that September 11th morning came as a...

Excerpt from Hussein's address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday, Sept. 9: Now, even if we provide these affordable options, there may be those -- especially the young and the healthy -- who still want to take the risk and go without coverage. There may still be companies that refuse to do right by their workers by giving them coverage. The problem is, such irresponsible behavior costs all the rest of us money. If there are affordable options and people still don't sign up for health insurance, it means we pay for these people's expensive emergency room visits. If...

My windows vista had me download 3 updates today. Told me they where "Important" one was called Vista Service Pack 2. After downloading them I can not get to any web pages except Free Republic. I am guessing its a DNS problem but Free Republic must be a SuperPage. It's faster then a speeding vista problem, able to leap DNS problems with a single bound, etc, etc.

Veterinarian Richard Kimball of Burns has noticed a disturbing trend among some of his friends. A Rockaway Beach couple has stockpiled food and assembled survival backpacks for their three adult children in Portland and Eugene. "If chaos arises, they can put the backpacks on so they can get home," said Kimball, 72. "There is a pistol in each of the backpacks." Another longtime friend, a Harney County cattle rancher, recently bought an AK-47 assault rifle and 1,000 rounds of ammunition. "Does that tell you anything?" Kimball asked. "He's scared." La Grande welder and gunsmith Jim Rector, meanwhile, said he has...

The first photographs of the self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind at Guantanamo Bay have cropped up on the Internet, and experts say the images of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed are being used by terrorist groups to inspire attacks against the United States. The photographs, taken in July by the Red Cross at the Guantanamo detention centre in Cuba, show Mohammed in a white robe, a red-patterned headdress and a long salt-and-pepper beard. They are the first known images of Mohammed since shot taken upon his capture in Pakistan in March 2003 showing him in a white T-shirt, with disheveled hair and a moustache....

Since writing; "Censorship: The Threat to Silence Talk Radio" published in May by Simon & Schuster, I’ve been watching developments at the FCC closely. The book suggested the left had a hidden agenda to silence conservative talk radio and that they never were serious about re-instating the Fairness Doctrine because there was a better way to silence conservatives. I quoted Craig Aaron of Free Press, a liberal media watchdog group with inside connections to the FCC ,who said: “I don’t support re-instating the Fairness Doctrine not because I don’t support the goals, but because I think it’s the wrong way...

KHAN NESHIN, Afghanistan — We're with the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in southern Helmand province, just 75 kilometers from Pakistan, in "battle space" that was the heart of Taliban territory until a few weeks ago. When these Marines fought their way into this dusty district capital in July, the Taliban were stunned. No Afghan government or coalition authorities had been here since 2002. Taliban leaders across the border in Pakistan told their minions to fight back. They did, and it was a terrible mistake. Scores of them died trying to stop the joint American/Afghan National Army troops from establishing...

Barack Obama can call today a day of national service if he wants to. The rest of us will always remember 9/11 as the day when more than 3,000 innocent men, women, and children were murdered in cold blood by Islamic fanatics. It will always be a day to remember our horrific, collective loss. It will always be a day to remember the heroes who plunged into the war zone, many in the face of near certain death, to rescue complete strangers. You see, years from now when Obama's silly day of service is long forgotten and Obama himself is...

Maybe it was the lousy economy. Or the bout with breast cancer that gave her a taste of American health care. Or the conversations with liberal friends that rattled her until she could sit still no more. Joy McGraw didn’t get involved in politics until last November’s election, and never expected to become a activist. Yet Friday, the 48-year-old real estate agent plans to lead a bus caravan of protesters from Georgia to Washington to participate in a giant march and rally against public health care, government spending, higher taxes — and most everything else that the Obama administration and...

Everyone remembers where they were when they found out about the attacks on 9/11. I was sitting in my office working on 2002 projections when I received an IM from my brother "hey Sammy some idiot just flew a plane into one of the trade center towers." I was working for one of the Cable TV networks at the time so I had a TV in my office. I turned on the TV to see the second tower impact. At the time I thought it was an instant replay of the first one. The same thing happened when each of...

Where were you on Sept. 11, 2001, when you first heard the news of a terrorist's attack? According to Pew Research, 97 percent of Americans say they can remember exactly where they were and what they were doing the moment they heard about the attacks.****** This brings us to two amazing facts about 9/11. Fact No. 1 — America was attacked on our home soil — something we thought could never happen. Fact No. 2 — In the last eight years, America has not been attacked again on our home soil. To me, that is something for which we should...

When John M. Venezia's employer hadn't seen or heard from him, state police at Swiftwater were contacted Tuesday and went to check on Venezia, 48, at his Red Rock Road home in Paradise Township. Police knocked on the door and no one answered. Further investigation revealed Venezia lying unconscious in the hallway due to a medical condition. Police entered the home and noticed Venezia's right hand had been bitten off by a pit bull found in the home. As police tried to render aid, the pit bull lunged at a trooper and was fatally shot. Paramedics arrived on scene and...
