CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV/AP) - A black woman has filed a lawsuit against the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), saying she was abruptly fired from the organization after complaining it was not reaching out to African-Americans. The Easton, PA branch of the NAACP has asked the State Theatre to cancel an appearance from Glenn Beck, a conservative TV and radio personality who called President Barack Obama racist. NAACP Branch President Merrill Fennel asked the theater in a letter dated Aug. 24 to cancel Beck's January appearance. The letter cites Beck's accusation that Obama, whose mother is white, has a "deep-seated hatred" for white people. In a letter dated today, State Theatre President Shelley Brown said the theater won't cancel Beck's show. Beck is scheduled to appear Jan. 9 at the State Theatre.
