Today I received unsolicited email from Barbara Boxer listing some of the items on “the stimulus bill”. Couple of items surprised me: 1. If you receive Social Security benefits, or SSI, you will likely receive a one-time payment of $250. 2. If your neighborhood has foreclosed and abandoned houses, funds are provided to help local governments buy up and improve homes and make them available to renters or future buyers. Why do people on SS need additional $250 and are local governments going to won overpriced neighborhoods to be rented to low income renters ??

The Traffic Court in Nazareth acquitted a young man who drove four passengers - because he was 21 according to the Hebrew date. The story began in September 2007, when Chaim Frankel was stopped by a policeman for a random check – and was found to be in violation of the law for carrying four passengers. CHAPEL HILLA ceremony at UNC Chapel Hill will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the death of student body president Eve Carson. Chancellor Holden Thorp will speak and a male student a cappella group will perform at the ceremony, scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at the Pit, on the Chapel Hill campus.
