I caught the end of Lou Dobbs' radio program when I switched my radio on for the Malzberg show. Dobb's was talking about how the country had to be governed from the center and that bad things happened when the extreme left or the extreme right ruled unchallenged.

I really don't know much about Dobbs but I thought he was smarter than that. There is no middle ground between a personal right to property and a community right to property. Either I will be forced (FORCED) to pay for Dobbs' mother's medical care or I will not. I am unlikely to do so voluntarily. The choice (which was really made long ago) will either be mine or it will be the choice of the people with the guns. Anyone who suggests some middle ground is an idiot.

I haven't studied the flat tax enough, but the concept is based on one sound principle:

There is, in reality, only one type of tax i this country: a consumer tax.

No matter what taxes, fees, regulatory expenses, or penalties the government levies on any business or group or individual, that cost will be passed along to those consuming the good or service.

Want to tax big oil to get even? Big oil raises their costs and you end up paying that tax.

Want to tax the rich to get even? The rich either recoup those losses by raising their rates or by eliminating workforce. Either way, you pay for it.

So, no matter how or where Obammie the Commie tries to hide these taxes, EVERYTHING they spend...WE pay for eventually.
