CNN's Inside politics report that Rove offered Nelson (D. Ne) Sec of Agriculture..Rove is BRILLIANT
INside politics..CNN

Judy (hmmm?) Woodruff just had a report that Karl Rove had offered Nebraska Sen Ben Nelson the post of Secretary of Agriculture. Nelson is up in 2006...and facing a hard race from popular GOP Gov Mike Johanns. Nelson is among the most conservative of Senate Dems..Does this make sense, because Nelson votes with the GOP on most of the key issues..?

Who is interested in running against Dayton? I'm hearing that Corzine may want to run for Gov.

Congressman Mark Kennedy, no relation to the crime family.

I would like to have some moderate Dems in the Senate. But I also want more Republicans-- it's tough.

He can..but it might not play well in the heartland.. There's a strong populist streak. Look at the problems that Lisa M< had in Alaska, when her dad appointed her. It almost cost her the election.. I wish someone could explain to me how the good people of Iowa keep on returning Grasseley and Harkin..term after term..thatr's got to be the oddest pair of polar-opposite same state senators EVER..

Interesting about Nebraska's two senators...Hagel, the R-senator, is stupidly left, while Nelson, the D-senator, is generally conservative. It would be better if Nelson would switch parties and stay in the Senate, then have a popular conservative Republican go after Hagel in the primaries. Again, Tom O comes to mind...

McCain is, by no means, a moderate. He just doesn't fall into everything the party leadership believes.

He belongs in the GOP. Chafee, Snowe, et al do not.

Mark Kennedy will have a very VERY tough time winning in Minneapolis / St. Paul. And given that 2006 will be a marginal democratic year - it will take Dayton becoming a Packer fan for Mark Kennedy to win that seat.

It is shocking because it is a severe gross examination. Shouting down is Marxist tactics? Than who isn't guilty of that from either of the fringe parts of either parties.

Even the radical left of the 60s has died a death in the mainstream Democratic Party. We need to understand this or we risk attacking an enemy that doesn't exist and waste energy.

Marxists may exist - but they are not Democrats. You have about as much truth to your claim as the dumb left does when it claims all Republicans are Fascists. Silly exagerrations just highlight paranoia.

I tell you who care about ag the good people of Nebraska and other states who most of our economy is based on Ag. Also Nelson was the best govenor we have ever had yes he is democratic but he is smart I think he should be president He may be a democrat but he will go on both sides of the isle to do what he thinks is best Ben Nelson and Chuck Hagel are some of the finest people from this state and of these United States. but you don't know to much about them so i suggest you stop mocking them. I know all about them and you to mock what makes my state wat it is ashames me to be a conservitive

Actually, in 2006 almost all of the senate seats look secure for both parties. GOP may pick up 2. Nelson from Florida (only if Jeb wants it) and Byrd West Virginia if he croaks or retires.

Minneapolis? Forget it. Maximize the red counties. Also: the Dems have more seats to defend in '06 than the Republicans. Dayton is the most endangered and least popular of the sitting Senators. What's his re-elect about 45%? Closing his office in October didn't help his any either.Check out daytonvkennedy.blogspot.com

graf008 - It is shocking because it is a severe gross examination. Shouting down is Marxist tactics? Than who isn't guilty of that from either of the fringe parts of either parties. JFK_Lib - I dont see the Republicans or conservatives in general practicing shout-down tactics. Maybe you dont understand what I mean by that term. When Thomas Sowel is invited to speak at a University and thousands of neoMarxists show up screaming threats, throwing rocks and spitting at him to get him to go home, this is a Marxist tactic that few others employ. It was one of the reasons the fascists became popular in Europe in the 1930s because they began to respond with the same tactics and literally fighting the Marxists in the streets to stop them. We see the neoMarxists in our Universities having anti-war demonstrations where they have banners encouraging American troops to shoot their own officers, call for a thousand Mogadishus, etc. These are not dissenting patriots, these are demented traitors who are bent on the deconstruction/distruction of our culture, our economy, political system and security. It is no accident that the Islamofascists have been exploiting the academic system to attack us from thus far, posing as students and proffessors as they advanced their cause against us, for in academia they recieve reflexive support, encouragement and sucor. The Democratic leadereship is thoroughly under the spell of academians with strong neoMarxist thinking, jargon and behavior. And if it walks like a duck, calling it a neoduck is no lie. graf008 - Even the radical left of the 60s has died a death in the mainstream Democratic Party. We need to understand this or we risk attacking an enemy that doesn't exist and waste energy. JFK_Lib - The radical left of the 60s TOOK OVER THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! what a laugh! That is why Pelosi and all the other ideological bats cant see what is wrong with their approach to the American people and have given us leftwing losers to vote against in 1972, 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000 and 2004. graf008 - Marxists may exist - but they are not Democrats. You have about as much truth to your claim as the dumb left does when it claims all Republicans are Fascists. Silly exagerrations just highlight paranoia. JFK_Lib - The rank and file Democrats are not Marxists, and neither is the leadership for that matter. I said the Democratic leadership is NEOMARXIST and there is a big difference, look it up some time.
