We actually have overcast skies here, today, so maybe the monsoons are actually on their way. They are about three weeks late. And the humidity is up to 23% and it smells like rain outside, so perhaps we will get some. Maybe.

It finally stopped raining for a while here. But it's still overcast and we will probably get more rain. But that's okay - we need it here.

Yeah, they have a number of avante-garde musical influences to draw from.

I think one of the main personalities that Pepper cited-when I questioned him on this subject for an ethnography I was doing on local musical genres within New York City-was John Cage, though I think they rely more upon recent innovators, both from Europe and Iceland, which I've heard has a very vibrant techno/trans/electronica music industry.

That might have something to do with the presence of United States military personnel for such an extended period of time on that island, but to be honest, I don't have enough insight into the Icelandic music industry to explain the phenomenon.

Bill and Hillary are at the Yankees World Series Game 6, sitting in the first row, with the Secret Service people directly behind them. One of the Secret Service guys leans forward and whispers something to Bill.

The crowd goes absolutely wild. Fans are jumping up and down, cheering, hooting & hollering, and high-fiving.

Bill is bowing, smiling and waving to the crowd. He leans over to the agent and says, "How about that! I would have never believed how much everyone would enjoy that!"

Noticing the agent has gone totally pale, he asks what is wrong.

The agent replies, -"Sir, I said they want you to throw out the first pitch!"
